Without the Internet Archive, the general “lore” of the internet as you now know it would be far different. Many of the stories told to you by YouTubers like me are only made possible by this one organization’s insanely large collection of archived data, and today, we’re gonna dive into it to see what horrors may be lurking within.

If you’re considering signing up for my Patreon, consider making a donation to the Internet Archive instead: https://archive.org/donate

Have you ever wondered why the History Channels YouTube channel has a lot of content uploaded that would normally be the kind of stuff that their two apps would charge for or a cable provider would have on demand, it's cause a great deal of their programs got loaded up and archived on Internet Archives, and it's still happening to them, the archives are only about 1-2 seasons behind now, that's why new History Channel shows are about a season or two behind on YouTube, The UnXplained, The Unbelievable, Ancient Aliens, The Curse or Oak Island, etc… are all about 1&1/2 seasons behind the current seasons

the scary thing is, its not that these places went away, its that they got pushed into either hidden parts of the open web ie cannibal cafe(yes, it infact exists to this day), places halfway between the deep and open web ie kiwi farms, and of course some just go straight into the deep web.

    4:00 "ancient aliens"

What's even more important than none of us ever having seen any evidence of a whirling, twirling, hurling, hurtling, wibbling, wobbling, zipping, zooming, rushing, rolling, twisting, turning, spinning and spiraling space ball, spherical "planet" earth is that none of us has ever seen any evidence for "space".

There's no such thing as "space" so there's no such thing as "aliens".

I grew up in southern Idaho, so as soon as you said Coeur d’Alene I didn’t even need the Denny’s part to know it was Shasta. We have cases that are defining for us statewide sometimes. Shasta, Michael Vaughan, DeOrr, the Lori Vallow/Chad Daybell cases with JJ and Tyler, and the U of I student murders, and those are just in the last 25-30 years. This was so interesting to hear this end of the Shasta story as I was much younger, and probably wouldn’t have wanted to know anything other than if she and her brother were okay, and what his sentence ended up being.

At work one day, making furniture to order, and a customer just blurts out, oh my phone's locked because my flatmate looked at an illegal site…. Like wtf. So for no reason at all he just says that, we know his gay but is he more? We gave his money back and told him to FK off

The ancient aliens fad was incredibly racist. It was assumed that ppl couldn’t build what they did because they were indigenous people who had little technology. As someone who is part indigenous it was very insulting to me how it was so easily accepted. Yes, maybe the Mayans met aliens but that doesn’t mean their knowledge was taken from them. Yes the Aztecs might’ve met aliens but that doesn’t mean their knowledge was taken from them either! We as humans are smart, and white civilisation isn’t peak and has never been. It was so infuriating…
