Furious Fans TRASH Stage at Megadeth Show
Megadeth fans in Lisbon were left furious after the band’s July 5th appearance at the EvilLive festival was cancelled at the last minute due to “technical issues beyond our control.” With the stage appearing fully set and showtime come and gone, the crowd erupted — booing, chanting for refunds, and throwing plastic cups toward the stage as the crew dismantled the gear. One stage curtain was reportedly closed to shield technicians from flying objects.

I saw Megadeth open for Dio back in the mid 1980's. Dave was wasted and belligerent and had no idea where he was. Kept calling San Francisco Los Angeles. Couldn't finish a song. Spit into the crowd and I saw a giant wave of spit, from the crowd, land on him. Kept wandering off stage, to be dragged out by bandmates. Finally left, in a rage. Worst concert ever!

Yeah s happens! But instead of a statement on social media, Dave should have maned up and gone out on stage. If he had no pa, hopefully with a bullhorn, or just yell it and have someone record it for Tiktok or YouTube later. He should have apologized to them and promise to them them that the show would be rescheduled!

Eruption? It's more like a fart in a hurricane ("Ooohh…look out–a flying plastic bottle!") This is further proof of how everything is increasingly bland and sucks in 2026: food, cars, employment, and now concert crowds can't even be whipped into a decent riot mode. FFS, even white-bread Bill Haley & the Comets prompted a WAY more savage riot in Germany in 1958 that included rushing the stage, fistfights, and seats being torn up and thrown.

Mustaine has terrible arthritis in his hands now and can't play without extreme pain. That's why he is retiring. I wonder if it was just bothering him too much. I have minor arthritis in my lower back and sometimes I can't get out of bed for spans of time and mine is only minor. I can only imagine what kind of Hell hammering sharp guitar strings on arthritic fingers is like.

For real. Dayseeker's laptop melted before their set at a festival a couple years ago and the band marched out and played a whole acoustic set for us. No excuses.

Well St. Louis is getting skipped altogether on their final tour. But I have seen Megadeth 3 times already but still would be nice to see them on the final tour. I was at GNR in 91 in St. Louis it was my very first concert I was 15 now that was a proper riot seats got ripped out police were macing people it was pretty crazy!
