Famous Geniuses Who Vanished Or Went Into Hiding
There’s a quote attributed to EB White that goes, “Genius is more often found in a cracked pot than in a whole one.” The list below appears to confirm that, with stories about geniuses who disappeared, geniuses who vanished, and, yes, some geniuses who seem to be some flavor of what people used to call, insensitively, “crazy.”
But the plural of anecdote, as they say, isn’t data. These so-called mad geniuses aren’t a homogeneous group of crackpots. Some of these geniuses went into hiding for perfectly sensible reasons, such as to flee the Gestapo or avoid pushy and privacy-invading press.

I think I remember seeing that Michelin started the restaurant raitings thing with the idea that people would travel to these great places and that would make them need to replace their tires and make Michelin money haha

Did Follet really just walk out after a fight with the husband??. I remember hearing of a real case where the husband actually said the same thing, that she just left after the fight lol well, eventually confessed to killing her. Anyways I dont believe for one minute that story🧐

Having ANOTHER Weird History Taste Test!
Taste Testing Genius Nachos*†…while watching this Weird History video!
I mixed Lindsay black olives (sliced), basil, Velveeta Cheese, and homemade salsa together, melted it, then put it on Tostitos chips!
* Inspired by the Weird History video "The Surprising Real Origins Of Your Favorite Ethnic Foods" and "The Gooey History of Velveeta"
† They are very aesthetically pleasing!

The Michelin stars do make sense. It came from a time where people wanted to drive across Europe and the company was new. It was basically used as a "Look how far you can drive on our good ass tires advertising" when they would drive across Europe and stop at popular or renowned places to eat and along side of the bragging of the distance they would rate the restaurants…

I learned recently the obvious connection between Michelin (tires) and restaurant reviews: The reviews caused people to drive longer distances for restaurant visits & vacations, thereby wearing out their tires more quickly!

"Gravity's Rainbow" is one of the most challenging books I've ever read. "Inherent Vice" is like a comic book by comparison. I love Pynchon. He's right up there with Philip K. Dick and Kurt Vonnegut on my list of favorite writers.

Michelin started rating restaurants as to tell people if itvwas worth the drive or not. Hence wear their tires our faster, especially since this was before they started adding carbon for strength (tires were white hence the white Michelin man mascot)

It’s no secret why these geniuses vanished, it’s because they’re geniuses! 😆 They left because people as a conglomerate suck 👎 ( Remember how everybody acted during the 🦠 shutdown?? ➡️➡️ 🐑 🐑 🐍 🐍 🐑 🐑 🥴 🐒 🐒) That’s right, I said it 😂 truth bomb !! ) has anybody ever watched Edward Scissorhands??? Everybody loved him at first , then they came at the end to hunt him down like townsfolk to burn down Frankenstein’s castle.. You are Edward Scissorhands, the world 🌎is the community..Sorry 🤷♂️ sad but true..everybody is so spirit sniping snakes anymore. The less people I have anything to do with the happier I am 😃..Ain’t that funny?? Trying to assimilate these geniuses into our world 🌎 is probably comparable to us being thrown into the chimpanzee community 😝. Don’t blame these guys going MIA. , especially if you take a look 👀 around in 2023.

A thought burst in my head and I need to tell you
It's news that I for thought
Was it just a dream that happened long ago?
I think I just forgot, let's go
Well it hasn't been the first time
And it sure does drive me mad
I just wanna say,
There's a boy who fogs his world and now he's getting lazy
There's no motivation and frustration makes him crazy
He makes a plan to take a stand but always ends up sitting
Someone help him up or he's gonna end up quitting

I remember having to read THE CATCHER IN THE RYE in high school in the early 1970s. I was completely confused by a homophobic slur in the book, since I hadn't come across it before. I asked my dad what it meant. He said, "A fairy!" I was still confused, but I decided I'd better not ask.
