My god this woman is the definition of charming. I grew up in the early 80ths falling in love with her characters. Now an old man I can take pride in having good taste because of that.

People love to say that Goldie winning the Oscar for Cactus Flower was a fluke -but they forget that this "supporting" role really had to carry the picture. What's more, she had many scenes with the legendary Ingrid Bergman and she managed to hold her own as a true equal. The lines were written for Bergman's character to have the verbal advantage, but Goldie Hawn brought so much charm to her role that she stayed up there with Bergman every time.

While I know Goldie Hawn is fabulous in every film she has starred in so far, Elise Elliot in
“The First Wives Club” is the best role she has played. The film is amazing along with Diane Keaton and Bette Midler.

I was fortunate to be at one of the places where she was filming “Death Becomes Her” in 1991. When I saw all the equipment trucks, I walked over. I remember asking the retired motorcycle cop who was there what was being filmed. After he told me the name of the film. I asked him who was in it. “Oh, Bruce Willis, Goldie Hawn, and Meryl Streep.” After picking up my jaw from the floor, I walked to an area where I saw Robert Zemeckis, the director. I recognized him because he’d directed Back to the Future.
I saw a group of people around him. To this day, I have no clue if I saw Meryl Streep or Bruce Willis. I am positive that I saw Goldie Hawn in a drop dead gorgeous form-fitting long red dress with an X on the back. It threw me off that she was a red head. I’m so damned gullible that I thought she’d dyed her hair for the film. Never occurred to me that it was a wig. She was GORGEOUS!!! I’d never seen a body like that!!!
After seeing her, I walked to the parking lot area where I walked to the Star Wagons dressing rooms. I got close enough to each of their doors to read each name. I remember that a Security Guard saw me and yelled at me to get outta there! I apologized and left.

Aw. Goldie is such a sweetheart. So humble. You know those people who turn the conversation around to make everything about them? She is the opposite. This video is supposed to be about her and her career, but she didn't miss an opportunity to compliment her costars. Class act.

shes a speical lady, in the biz since a kid, and made a career, had a family… I had an opportunity to meet her once. just on the street, her husband took their kid (ya it was a while ago) to get a hair cut on Montana blve in Santa Monica, I just finished parking my car at the curb, saw Kurt Russel go into the barber shop with their kid, she came up a bit later looking for them, her and I had a funny moment about it… she was just people.

I always enjoyed watching her movie "Private Benjamin." It was comedy gold when she entered the Army BootCamp scene with Eileen Brennan as the captain. Goldie said, "I think I am in the wrong Army. Where are the condos and the sailboats?" Eileen Brennan replied laughing, "You think you are in the wrong Army, princess? Private, there is no other Army; this is the Army!" Later on, you see Private Benjamin scrubbing the latrine with a toothbrush. I also liked the scene when they had to parachute jumping and Goldie was afraid to leave the plane. The officer tried to seduce her, and Goldie finally jumped out with a big scream and a sigh of relief. That's how Private Benjamin got transferred to Paris, France. I have seen most of Goldie's movies, and every one is a gem.
