CONVERGE Hum Of Hurt REVIEW & Albums RANKED

Metal Trenches | June 2, 2026

Today (AGAIN) I’m ranking every Converge album from Halo in a Haystack all the way through new 2026 records Love Is Not Enough and Hum Of Hurt. From the raw early days of Petitioning the Empty Sky and When Forever Comes Crashing, to the genre-defining impact of Jane Doe,; this discography run is ridiculous. One of my favorite discographies of all time. @ConvergeOfficial @epitaph #converge #metalcore #mathcore

I was lucky enough to catch their set in the Epitaph Records parking lot a couple weeks ago and I was stoked by how many new songs they played. They also played Saddest Day which was sick

    Great video as always!

Love is not enough was a huge grower went from hating it to probably my album of the year at this point minus the terrible production the album is fantastic can’t wait for this one to see if they can pull it off twice

Kurt does the thing you mentioned whenever they play I Won’t Let You Go live so you’re correct on that one. I am very curious on the amount of Noise Rock influences they really used for this 2nd release specifically so I can’t wait.

Also just wait till they drop Bloodmoon II this year, I will actually combust if they do.

I haven't listened to some of their albums in a really long time, I'll definitely need to revisit them. But the ones I often comeback to are Axe to fall and Petitioning the empty sky. I also listen to Jane Doe every now and then, but Axe to Fall and Petitioning the empty sky are easily my favorites. As for the new ones, I haven't listened to the latest one, but Love is not enough jumped straight into my favorites!

I recently discovered an exciting new band. Brotality is a 3 man band from New York. I hear influences like Mastodon, Gojira, Pantera and more. I’m pretty blown away by how good they are especially for their age. Recommended tracks are Animalistic, Wormsign, Keepsake, The Body and Frost Empire. Accidentally came across them on YouTube shorts, where the intro bass line to Animalistic caught my ear. So much potential and they are getting better. Going to be huge I hope.

I'm a very new fan. One of the GOATs.

Perfection: Jane Doe, The Dusk in Us
    Amazing: Axe to Fall, AWLWLB
Great: Love is Not Enough, No Heroes
Good: You Fail Me, Blood Moon

They're one of my favorites. I haven't gotten to the first three yet. Jane Doe was one of those albums last year that immediately became one of my all time favorite albums.
