Connor Ratliff is a beloved cult comedy figure known for his award-winning podcast Dead Eyes and his long-running live show/YouTube series The George Lucas Talk Show. He also played an improv student in Mike’s film Don’t Think Twice, which is a bit of a winking joke because Connor is one of the most experienced and revered improvisers on the scene. Mike and Connor go deep on improv comedy process, Connor shares some of his most devastating audition stories, and the two take a phone call from their mutual friend Chris Gethard.

So excited to see Connor Ratliff as a guest. He is incredible. The Acting Class is hilarious and mesmerizing. George Lucas Talk Show is like nothing you have ever seen, I promise. His guest appearances on Blank Check's Twin Peaks episodes are soooo funny and thoughtful. I agree that he is a "secret" legend just waiting to be discovered by a wider audience.

I know his name but I wasn’t sure what I know him from, Blank Check lore, I could’ve sworn he was the guy that does the George Lucas podcast and yeah he’s George (this is not gonna make sense for normies, I should stop putting off that pod and Dead Eyes too apparently)

Pound for pound connor is the best improviser i’ve ever seen.
He’s also an inspiration to learn from on how to obsessively work hard & improve your “craft” .

This is a perfect guest. Of course you two know each other. I learned about Connor via Chris Gethard's shows. He is a special genius and will be remembered for his incredible improv acumen and, of course, his dead eyes.

“What else is there to talk about in this scene?” is such a great lesson to take. God damn, I’ve been doing improv since I was 13 and I’m 40 and I just learned something new so this has been a fantastic episode.

When I was in college, Connor Ratliff was like Elvis to my college improv team. We visited NYC and saw Stepfathers under Gristedes, and we waited outside after to talk to him.
