I read some years ago that the seven year itch is in fact based in reality. Meaning there's a disproportionate amount of relationships that will fail once you get to 6 to 10 years or so. From personal observation of friends'/acquaintances' relationships (and that of my own brother and his wife), this seems to ring true. My own explanation for this is… probably "nature"? A human infant will need a lot of attention and care during its first three or four years or so and is much more helpless than the offspring of other mammals. Heck, horses can stand and run within a few hours of their birth, while we need months to even be able to sit, let along walk/waddle around. So once that need diminishes as the kid gets older, there'll be less need for both parents to be present – if we're assuming a more "natural" setting, say cavemen/hunter gatherers or early farmers or something. So, perhaps there's some sort of brain-chemistry going on that will tend to make us more faithful and attached to a partner we've only been together with for a few years, but once we reach that stage at which a kid would be more independent and not totally helpless without the aid of grown-ups, that sense of attachment will wither/diminish, making it more probable for us to get tempted by strange booty or even to break up with our partner.

Well done as usual, you guys. Pleased to see that Blonde continued the Norma Jean and Marilyn tradition of breast exposure. That's about as close to feeling like the 80s I ever get anymore.

Also, Julianne Nicholson is always fabulous.

The movie cutting to her getting pounded on a desk then her delicately walking out the room like we're supposed to feel sorry about her wanting to be famous was cringe as fuck. The movies just such an awful waste of time for anyone who loved Marilyn.
