For anyone wondering, the historicity of scaphism is highly disputed. Much like many other fanciful torture techniques, it was likely a later fabrication to exaggerate the cruelty of the society it was ascribed to (which was Persia, actually).

In my old band fecal fetus fetish and friends we had a bassist who used barbed wire and he bled all over the place and did a satanic ritual every practice and gig we had… We had to let him go after a while when he didn't tell us he had AIDS and was wanted in two states for bad bad things .

Those Peavey pickups are so good. It's a shame that they are so hard to come by. I have them in my Peavey T15 shortscale guitar and it's one of my most recorded guitars. Everyone who has played it has asked if they can buy it, but I'll probably never let go of it.

I hope it's not lost on everybody that sees this video that Flesh Simulator put so much work into being lazy. He didn't want to take his gear home and bring it back every practice so he decided to put hours and hours of work into a bass nobody would steal. That is some GOD TIER laziness.

What’s with the vocal fry? I’m trying to watch this cool video of a pretentious hipster with his kinda cool bass, but all I can focus on is the vocal fry.

That bridge looks like it came off an early 90’s Epiphone Rock Bass! Unusual basses as they were part of a series of Fender clones Epiphone made in Korea, with Fender body shapes with banana headstocks! I own a jazz bass version and its quite nice (and rather uncommon)

Had a buddy that refinished his guitar in a similar fashion. When asked for his thoughts on its appearance the local guitar luthier replied “Ah, the one that looks like fence post!”. Classic.
