Atari Parks RCT3 on Your Shelf! + More Retro News!
ðĒ Atari is bringing RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition to physical form for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, letting park-building fans finally put this classic sim back on their shelves. Weâll talk about whatâs on the disc/cart, why collectors are excited, and whether itâs worth grabbing if you already own the digital version.
ðđïļ Over in handheld land, Evercade is lining up a massive drop with five new cartridges hitting in a single month, the biggest wave the platform has seen since launch. Weâll dig into why this release schedule matters, how it grows Evercadeâs already stacked library, and what it means for physical-only collectors.
ðū And because 2025 refuses to stop being weird (in a good way), weâre also getting a brand-new 8-bit GameTank console built around real cartridges and dedicated hardware instead of emulation. If you love chunky pixels, CRTs, and truly old-school design, this thing is absolutely on your radar.
If youâre into Atari, Evercade, new retro hardware, and the joy of owning games physically, this episode is for you. Hit play, hang out with us, and stick around forâĶ yepâĶ more retro news! ð

Rollercoaster tycoon – I still bung that on every now and then, love the nostalgia it gives me each time! Great bit by bit!

The problem with Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 on a console is that, while a great game, 99% of the fun comes from all the player made content that you can download for it. It's like Minecraft. It's fun, but limited on consoles. Playing on a PC opens up so many new doors to creativity that you just don't get on a console. You just can't do player content on a console. They don't allow it. They have stores, and occasionally player "workshops" like Steam has. But for the most part… it's "Store" for "DLC" purchases on consoles. Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 REALLY REALLY needs that player made content that's split over numerous website that will probably NEVER make it to a workshop or DLC package due to their age and how spread out they are. And seriously. Just from the way the control scheme is in Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, I can't even IMAGINE how the controls wouldn't be clunky as hell using a game controller. That game is DESIGNED for mouse and keyboard! Even Minecraft is clunky as hell on a console without a keyboard and mouse.

Did Activision buy the Imagic IP library? Demon Attack was an Imagic cart, not Activision.

is the switch 2 version really a physical edition or that game key thing?

Heh, I already own RCT3 digitally on Switch. It's still nice to see this, though. I love seeing all of the Evercade cartridges coming out, but my bank account might not like it so much. The Gametank looks kinda cool, I hope you guys can get one for review. I'd like to see what it offers. And, that rotary keyboard looks very gimmicky. I feel I'd like it for 5 minutes of nostalgia, then realize how much it sucks to actually use and turn it into a display piece.

Imagine playing Keys of Fury on that rotary keyboard ðĪŠ I have the Activision, Rare and Llamasoft carts on pre order, I notice the article suggests using Amazon but if in the UK I would recommend using Funstock. As always thanks George ð
