In Albanian, the word for rainbow is “Ylber”, possibly an ancient compound word of “Yllë” meaning star and “Birë” meaning son, so a rainbow is the result of or product of a star. This makes sense because rainbows are associated with the Illyrian equivalent of Aphrodite, goddess of the morning star, Venus.
