10 Tricks, Locks and Picks | Deadly Survival Skills

Qxir | February 26, 2026

Taking a look at the book “100 Deadly Skills” written by former Navy Seal, Clint Emerson. This video looks at skills 41 to 50 and has thus far been Qxir’s favourite.

“You will learn how to escape a locked trunk, make an improvised Taser, trick facial recognition software, prevent tracking, evade a kidnapping, elude an active shooter, rappel down the side of a building, immobilize a bad guy, protect yourself against cyber-criminals, and much more — all using low-tech to “no-tech” methods.”

I followed you to the bottle one evening. Much to my surprise, I received this fine piece of literature without even knowing what it was or where it came from. Thanks for that. Cheers!

Hi Qxir – I'm shocked and amazed by your signing 'quotes' around the reference to the failure of the video supervision to capture Jeffrey Epstein killing himself. It almost looks as you doubt that Jeffrey Epstein actually did kill himself – something which has been officially confirmed. I mean sure – there may be a few loose ends… well ok, more than just a few…. well ok, many loose ends. But I mean… Donald Trump, Bill Barr, Jeffrey Epstein ????

Yeah, they'll immediately know I like to keep my keys spotless! And maybe they'll learn that they like to aggressively eat soap without warning.

These tricks don't seem particularly useful, the require a good deal of equipment and specialized knowledge that the average reader won't normally have to hand when the need arises. The most impressive skill this author has exhibited here is in coming up with the book equivalent of a click-bait title to sell copies.

3 year old video, I know, but I think I know what he meant by the "detect trackers using speaker"

Devices connected to mobile data services can distrupt analogue speakers, making them emit a repetitive buzzing sound when data packets are transmitted. It used to be a common occurrence when someone had a phone in their car, for example

This book was published in 2016? Granted, I've only seen these 10 shown here, but this book definitely seems like 100 things I've copied from the internet but I'm a Navy Seal so buy it.

i think the whole detecting trackers is the same principle behind why youre speakers make funny noises right before you get a phone call, just inadvertently picking up the interference being broadcasted by whatever device there is

2:49 I learnt how to pick locks before youtube existed with a split pin (cotter pin if ur American) Oh how times have changed! Now anybody can learn how to do pretty much anything with just a few taps of your finger 😆

#9 with the rubberband it looks like he is in the room since his hand is in the room. with a chain lock you can partially open the door to get your hand through it. then attach the rubberband in such a way that when you close the door it unlatches the chain lock. and then you can open the door again but now without the chain lock

Idk if this got any relevance here but one time at my school I left my radio on cuz I was too lazy to switch to bt and the radio station was just static for me and It randomly started licking something up and I could hear a girl on a call with someone😭
