I'm a younger Millennial and I watch all your videos about shows but I can confirm I do not like Friends. My fave sitcoms are Archer, Bojack, Veep, The Thick Of It, It's Always Sunny, Chewing Gum, The IT Crowd, and Succession (it's not a sitcom but feels like one to me)
edit: I find Friends to be too wholesome and a lot of the comedy just revolves around relationship and hookup drama, not much deeper critique of society. just seems low-stakes. it is a very problematic show too but so is Sunny and I feel more detached from the bigotry of the writing in earlier seasons because the characters are more hateable so I don't feel like I'm being forced to laugh. I am partially laughing at how bad it is. I also can't stand the characters of Ross or Phoebe, I find them extremely grating. I suspect that sitcoms like It's Always Sunny and South Park will read as grating to Gen Alpha the same way Friends and Seinfeld read to 90s kids.
