Zoé Basha (from Rufous Nightjar), playing New Orleans.

GemsOnVHS | June 1, 2026

We caught Zoé Basha & the band on an early evening of a nascent Mardi Gras season in New Orleans, kicking off their first U.S. tour. They’re over from Ireland and on the road in a big yellow school bus, rolling slowly but surely from Louisiana to Washington state. This tune’s called ‘Dublin Street Corners’, off of Zoé’s debut album that came out last year. Catch them all along the West coast before they head back across the pond!

Couldn't make it down to New Orleans this time due to a big ice storm in Nashville, so shout out to Hennen Payne for doing this one. Thanks y'all. Catch Zoe on her remaining USA dates before she goes back to Ireland.

Well this is proof those AudioGo (?) mics can sound good. Almost every time I see them on social media, there is WAY too much reverb and they sound like trash. Great job here, as always

Just put on the headphones to have a music moment in the evening and found one of your recordings of last year's best discovery
I was waiting for it, still came to me serendipitously.
Thanks for this, and go zoè! Conquer US hearts with your mates and the yellow bus
