That assumes the remaining population is healthy, young, fit, and perfectly balanced by gender and geographic location. If we are left with an aging population, our chances of reproduction drop drastically, risking a much weaker or less viable next generation

Panic A: “Not enough young people to pay for the old”. Panic B: “AI and robots replace workers.” Can they both be a problem simultaneously? No. The problem I C: Money is taken from the wrong people and given to the wrong people. Obviously, if hypothetically industry required zero workers, then tax on wages would be zero. The only sensible answer is that industry must pay taxes, not “workers.” If the country makes money, then distribute it!

I love this! What about the animals who don't have habitat anymore and are becoming extinct. Let's just put them all in a zoo so that we 8 billion people can gawk at them like going to DisneyLand. Sorry I can't sign up for this and I didn't. I personally did not sign up for increasing the birthrate. I still think it should be that women who love the natural world should have the right to choose what to do with their reproductive organs and life.

Comparing the current demographic shift to the panic of the 1920s is a false equivalence. In the 1920s, the drop in birth rates was a localized blip. Today, sustained, below-replacement fertility rates are global, structural, and unprecedented in human history, impacting not just Western nations but also East Asia and South America. I'm a bit annoyed by this videos obvious half truths and bias. You rightlty claim that that statements about populations should be cited, and then you bring anecdotal evidence about…your mum? And your assessment of the healthcare situation is factually wrong. Old people need the vast majority of the finds because of multi morbidity, not because "they are dying". Elderly care and financing seniors 80years + WILL become a huge problem in 15-20 years. It's a problem right now.

A child is two dependents: the child himself and the adult who must supervise or teach him. Unlike children, the elderly are often self-supporting and even economically active. Children rarely are.

There is an inevitable increase in population coming from the developing world, there is an inevitable decrease coming in the developed world.

When they start colonization of moon and mars and exploit their resources for further profits, they will send a part of the population to these places. Thats why they want more poor humans because they will have nothing to lose and want to leave this planet. That is what I think.

If people who aren't working, whether they have money or not, are a problem, let's start with the Epstein class and toss all billionaires into a woodchipper for the benefit of society.
Next, let's stop requiring bachelor's degrees for jobs that really do not need them, which gains 4 years of working life per adult. Wow! What a gain!
I feel like we've made good progress today. To top it off, remove the cap on contributions to social security so the rich can pay their fair share at last back to the society that supports their leisure class fat asses, and then wow! bam! done! we've got all the old people supported. Neat-o.
But, nope, easier to punch down on women than address the runaway greed of the rich.
