Young men are turning on Trump. Here’s why. | America, Actually

Vox | July 7, 2026

Young men are no longer happy with Donald Trump. His net approval rating among the group that famously helped propel him to the White House in 2024 has dropped by 56 points.

But is this shift real, or just noise? Vox’s Astead Herndon recently went to an event billed as an opportunity for the administration to reconnect with young men to find out: the UFC Freedom 250 event in Washington DC.

Your view of masculinity is false a man is a protector of any person getting abused a man is honest and always tells the truth a man never steals what did you expect from a pathological liar? The man bankrupted a casino what do you think is next? Hint USA

It's not partisan anymore. It's about do you A) have empathy or B) not have empathy? They've made so many of us cut throat but that makes you isolated and rarely successful.

19:31 This is something you'll heard from a lot of dissatisfied Trump voters. "It's like Trump is the husband, and I'm the wife. And that's why we're unhappy but we're staying together." They'll just volunteer that that's how they view marriage, and that's how they view themselves: as an upset wife.

    Nothing to unpack there!

Funny, it’s called WWE and has been for years, and both Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant haven’t wrestled in years. I think only ignorant D-bags think a UFC fight on the WH lawn is a good way to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America.

So what I'm hearing is a bunch of immature young men with limited knowledge of what is going on in politics. Understandable. I was like that then too, so I have no judgment.

They voted for the candidate who was supported by aipac by the tune of over $200 million dollars…….. “it’s way easier to scam a man then it is to inform them they have been scammed.”

I've never voted for Trump because he's always impressed me as the most "politician like" politician, meaning he says whatever it takes to get elected, but then doesn't care about following through on doing what he said. He did that for the most part in his 1st term, and sure enough, the 2nd term is just the same. This said, I don't care much for the Democrats. I proudly consider myself a right leaning independent, and used to vote more Republican before Trump, however now I hardly vote for Republicans at all because of the absolute lack of accountability of anybody on the right to hold their party accountable. The sad thing is, the Democrats are behaving very similarly, as far as failing to take ownership of their own party.

I don't agree with a lot of things these ""bro's" say here, but I do agree if the Democrats keep fielding failures like Chuck Schumer, the vote is going to get split and we're going to keep getting highly polarized people like Trump in office.
