Paul says a lot of problematic things, not just this. He says a lot of things that are in direct conflict with Jesus own teachings, which is likely why Paul and Jesus disciples butted heads.

Exactly SIMPLE ANSWER should be THESE ARE NOT WORDS OF GOD, THEY ARE MAN MADE STATEMENTS added by someone anonymous, but they will justify everything wrong in bible instead of admitting clear corruptions

1:19 cliff already starts off with a lie.
Acts 18:24 to 28 (NKJV) describes Apollos preaching publicly, then receiving private correction.

    What happened

    1. Apollos spoke publicly in the synagogue, knowing only the baptism of John (Acts 18:24 to 26).

    2. Aquila and Priscilla heard him, then “took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately” (Acts 18:26). This was private, not a church gathering, and it was done by both together so husband and wife.

    3. After that, Apollos went on to minister powerfully in Achaia, publicly refuting opponents and proving Jesus is the Christ (Acts 18:27 to 28).

Why this is not Priscilla teaching Apollos in the church
    • The setting shifts from public speaking to being “taken aside,” which indicates private instruction (Acts 18:26).
    • The verb in NKJV is “explained,” not appointed preaching or elder authority.
    • The text never presents Priscilla as holding office over him, but as part of a couple helping clarify doctrine.

Also in addition, the reason Paul gives is not chaos in the church nor is it about women not being educated at the time. The reason Paul gives is simple, creation ORDER!

Good discussion! I'm so glad they pointed out that there were things going on that the audience of the letter knew about, so didn't need to be spelled out: gnosticism, pan theism, false teachings from the cult of Artemis infiltrating the church because women had been denied a religious education, etc.

This part about how it wasn't Adam who was deceived but Eve, well, Adam knew the rule and deliberately rebelled against God and ate the apple. Therefore using certain logic that's used against women, it sounds to me like men shouldn't lead or teach since they're susceptible to rebelling against God. See how that works?

wrong, women were in charge of womens issues, ie menstration, guidance in birth and infant health. thats what is meant by a servant of the church including the lay and while the husband lurned he also taught the wife.

The bible is horribly repulsive to women's rights. It allows you to sell your daughter , take virgin enemies as slaves , stone non bleeding brides, forces abortions on cheating wives, orders women to obey men and forces women to marry their rapist.

    Bible verses inserted below.

In Mathew 5:17-20 Jesus supports all biblical laws.

Rules on how to sell your daughter.

    Exodus 21:7-8

"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again."

2.Kill everyone but keep virgin girls for themselves.

    Numbers 31:14-18

14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who returned from the battle.

15 “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the Lord’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

    3. Death to non bleeding brides.

    Deuteronomy 22:19-21

20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.

4.Forced abortions for unfaithful women .

    Numbers 5:20-22

But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”— 21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse[a] among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell.

    5.Woman should obey men.

    1 Timothy 2:12

12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet.

    Ephesians 5:22-24

22 Wives, obey your husbands as you obey the Lord.

23 The husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church people. The church is his body and he saved it.

24 Wives should obey their husbands in everything, just as the church people obey Christ.

    1 Corinthians 14:34

Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission , as the law says.

    Genesis 3:16

    16 To the woman he said,“I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband,  and he will rule over you.”

              6. Women marry rapist for money.

    Deuteronomy 22:28-29

"If a man meets a virgin who is not betrothed, and seizes her and lies with her, and they are found, then the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife.

            7. Women are spoils of war.

    Deuteronomy 5:10-15

10 When you go to war against your enemies and the Lord your God delivers them into your hands and you take captives, 11 if you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife. 12 Bring her into your home and have her shave her head, trim her nails 13 and put aside the clothes she was wearing when captured. After she has lived in your house and mourned her father and mother for a full month, then you may go into her and be her husband and she shall be your wife. 14 If you are not pleased with her, let her go wherever she wishes. You must not sell her or treat her as a slave, since you have dishonored her.

It's true that women should be silent. This idea that they should be leaders is only very new and only in western society which is wrong about many things and is falling because of that

These are pauls teachings and its roots are delphi maxim , not christian , its not in the law of Jesus its a law in delphi maxim , in Jesus times they had the same rights of men as found in early wrightings , Jesus put women above men at times so do the research on paul , hes a false prophet as written

Looking at how rampant pedophilia is with men and religion, i honestly think men created religion to have easier access to exploit children. Every single religion is patriarchal and pedophilic. I see the masculine and pedophilia synonymous with eachother.

In Romans 7, Paul spends the entire chapter giving an empassioned speach about how Jesus's sacrifice means we are NO LONGER under the law[s] (of the Pharisees), that we are only under God's laws (the ten commandments). Then immediately turns around and says that women should and will remain under the laws of the Pharisees. The hypocrisy of Paul, who was not a follower of Jesus BEFORE his death and resurrection, is either astonishing or clear. He WAS a Pharisee.
Mathew 23:1-4 Jesus says that the Pharisees placed themselves on Moses's seat, tie up heavy burdens (make harsh laws) for the people and do not lift a finger to help move the loads (they do not practice what they preach). Paul later argues that Jesus's teaching and sacrifice was the death of those laws. But nowhere in the Torah (Old Testament) does it say that women should cover their hair (head) and remain quiet. Only in the New Testament is that added.
At the end of Revelations Jesus/God says that no more books shall be written, that any words added to the bible will be added to you in hell, and anything taken from the bible will be taken from you in heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is like a diamond in the rough, you have more of it if you carefully chip away the rough, you see less of it if you add more stone or dirt. I suggest Paul's writing be stripped from the bible.
    AND
anyone who would argue that the rest of Paul's work should stay, that we only strip out a little that is hypocritical, Paul himself reminds us that a little bit of leaven, leavens the whole lump. As Jesus warned us, beware the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadisees

Alex listens with apparent openness and even adjusts his stance when challenged, yet the same doubts resurface whenever the topic comes up again. He isn’t really seeking growth or correction—he’s probing for consistency, not truth.
