Peter Mandelson was the Brit Ambassador that got sent home, Epstein referred to him as Petie, they were bosom buddies, Petie was also bosom buddies with Tory B.Liar ex Bush enabler and instigator of the Iraq war also ex Labour? prime minister. P.S. a Tory is a member of the Conservative Party, like Maggie iron knickers.

As someone who desperately wanted a child I am a bit disappointed in your moral issue. It’s not the same as selling a kidney. Often the baby IS biologically the intended parent. This is one story. The system is biased against regular families who want children. In Canada the hoops you have to go through to adopt is crazy even if the biological mother knows the adoptive mother . We would have LOVED to have taken a forgiegn child and given them a beautiful life. The babies don’t hang out! The dna remains in you. Adoption can be the best gift a mother can give. You are definitely being judgemental. If there should be so many regulations on adoption then there should be on regular conception. Why am I being punished for infertility.them a life but it was way to expensive! I really liked your podcast but your views are so cold. You have NO IDEA the pain of infertility. Do I have a full life? Yes but every holiday, first day of school, special moment my niece celebrates is a gut punch. My babies never took their first breathes. All I ever wanted was to be a mom. I see all the time in the news mothers killing, or hurting their children, but we couldn’t have even one? Maybe don’t speak on such a highly sensitive topic when you don’t get it!!

In nation-states that offer free childcare, half of all mothers are never married. This shows that marriage results from systemic coercion, which makes sense when you realize how much unpaid labor is expected from married women.

And they still haven't recognized that the ERA is ratified.

in 2022 California made a nearly 5 billion dollar commitment to school-based expanded learning programs (afterschool programs). This financial commitment has since been written into our state law and school districts have been transforming their local workforce to support this program, which is funded by CA tax dollars (some of which is legal marijuana money). The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program has been growing locally and statewide since then, and never had we gotten a headline like New Mexico did! Please invite Newsom or Michael Funk on your show to talk about this program which is ACTUALLY and LITERALLY the biggest local, national or global financial commitment to childcare ever, ever, ever. This is a story about California that should be told. Rather than all the claims that progressive values are expensive and without impact.

Why are the White House and the GOP so against releasing files related to Jeffrey Epstein? If there is nothing there, then why not release and show the Democrats to be fools? But you wont will you, because the smart money says that Donald Trump's name is splattered all over these files and that releasing them will show him to be the kiddie fiddler that we suspect him to be. In the words of the immortal Charlie Kirk….."Prove Me Wrong".

Yeah, and now all the slum landlords and commercial property owners who hollowed out downtown just to scoop up the neighborhoods—the Highlands, Northside, Five Points just to funnel the money straight into their own pockets and keep it there. And voters keep taking bigger refund checks instead of reinvesting TABOR revenue back into the state. Now we have a $200 million deficit for Denver with layoffs and a hiring freeze and a billion $ deficit for the state. The poorest Walton could sneeze and lost double the state and capital deficit and not even notice it was gone. The stupid amount of money in Colorado and its the welfare for the rich that managed to turn a surplus of revenue into black hole

I agree with you both about the problematic nature of surrogacy. I would go further than you did and just say that I think the whole concept is horrible.
It is a perfect depiction of everything that is wrong with our culture: The gross entitlement that rich people exhibit in assuming that they are OWED a child with their own DNA, regardless of our overburdened planet, and regardless of all the orphaned children needing to be raised, is just the first issue.
Then we see the horrible infliction of risk, pain, injury and emotional trauma on the women who carry and give birth to the babies, and the complete disregard for her wellbeing; this reminds me of the hatred of women that seems so popular among the "conservatives" as well as showcasing their well-known disregard for Mother Earth.
Some people cannot reproduce for a good REASON. If the would-be parents are infertile, it is not in their karma to have children. If both parents have CANCER, then maybe their DNA doesn't need to be passed on to an innocent baby either!
Let's do what we can to put an end to this womb-imperialist bullshit! If I don't have the right to turn a trick or two when my rent is falling behind, then NOBODY should be allowed to basically OWN another human for nine months, not to mention taking a proprietary attitude toward a BABY. To hell with THAT noise!
Let's end poverty, end imperialism, and in the process I'll bet that everybody's fertility rates will become higher, pregnancy outcomes will be better, and we can all live in a far less stressful world.
    Revolution now!!

I have always felt that way, no one is owed a biological child. It bothers me when people spend $100,000 to try to get their own baby because the horrors of adopting someone else's child, what if something is wrong with it as if theirs would be guaranteed perfect. I never wanted to have a baby, and I didn't. The thing about us is we can fight our instincts with logic (the desire to breed). Everything is meant to be except when THEY can't have a baby without years of medical work.

Legalizing weed adds to the wealth of a state and mellows the population. The blue states that have legalized marijuana are pulling in billions as you say. Here in Washington the state adds a 37% tax to the cost of weed and yet prices still remain reasonable, IMO. By that I mean I am paying no more for legal weed than I used to pay for the stuff that wasn't. I am so grateful to be living in a blue state. 💙💙💙

Thanks goodness I live in NM! They increased the income cutoff right when my youngest was born so we were able to qualify. Free childcare is what allows us to keep up with house repairs and medical bills. I cant imagine what we would be paying for two kids. Before that we were paying the same for mortgage and childcare for 1 kid. Who can afford to have a family like that?

My neighbor's daughter signed up to be a surrogate for an Australian couple. She had successfully home-birthed several biological children and expected to do so again. However, there were complications and she was hospitalized, but did give birth to twins. The biological parents swooped in and took the children, but left her with the (unexpected) hospital bills. Her own insurance refused to pay them; they hadn't even known she was pregnant. I don't know how it finally worked out.

A lot of you are probably too young to remember the story about service here in New York, all of this could be traced back to one woman Mary Beth Whitehead she decided to be a surrogate for this couple then she refused to give the child up and wanted joint custody it was a big lawsuit it was in the news and she got joint custody.
And after that she wasn't the only one that was a surrogate that I wanted to have joint custody of the child they carried.
