I do think we are influenced by our surroundings and biology but we aren’t just computers that take in data and spit out an answer human consciousness is more nuanced than that as we can actually think and consider options and while some choices are done subconsciously does our choice to develop ideas and be creative and imagine come simply from external predestination? No it does not we still have a degree of control. We are limited by the human body and brain but we still can choose and ultimately I think denying someone agency by telling them they are completely effectively a slave to the past is cruel

The fact that we have the ability to think the side and change means but that can't make sense Domino's don't have the ability to change their sequence afterthought in the ability to want to change to be something better they can't make the change from what Domino's to gold Domino's just by using their brain Free Will and ability to change themselves

Hey Guys – do you really think this content makes anyone "inspired and feel good"?.

sounds like what religous people say when they say.. well god has a plan for you and every body. like he controling peoples lives and their fate. but there is no fate but what we make for our selfs. of course i didnt choose to be alive and born into a cool rich familly. my mom made that choice for me to be alive but im just dealt the life my mom gave me and her and my dads Genes determined my personality and tendencys and passions in music arts and apace and science. but after that when you grown you pretty much have to make decisions and choose which are fairly up to you to choose. can do with what you got. there is a limit on free will cause everything is expensive too expensive to freely do what you want when you want. i thought this video was gonna be about how media brainwashes every body and is subliminaly making me choose what they want me to choose.. and i very much disagree with that theory nope not me.

I get the logic and it's actually true, though, I chose when I watched it. I watched a bunch of others, before watching this one and passed by it. In some sense, it's real that I knew about this video and later decided to click. Also, I know how tobacco is terrible for health and smoke compulsively.

interesting video. Found the argument for doing things quite weak though. Aren't you predetermined whether you will put on the seat belt or not lose your passion for something? The more I studied pessimism the less I wanted to do most things. isn't that inevitable for me?

You're incorrect. If you put the seatbelt on, it's because of your priorities. We don't get to choose the order of priorities, which told you to put the belt on.

Everyone gangsta till they experience an existential crisis by watching a YouTube video that makes you question your existence, the significance of life, the choices you've made, or why you're even reading this specific comment, at this specific time, on this specific video. Was this a decision you made on your own? Was it a foregone conclusion that you would do this? Or was it just a random occurrence? You consider to yourself for a few moments before returning to what you were doing before stopping to read this comment.

Great stuff for the most part, I thought of this long time ago but I couldn't get anyone around me to understand what I mean by us not having actual control in our lives. It's just an illusion of choice and it's predetermined what we will choose.
However you hugely went off the track with this philosophy towards the end when you claim that we can chose how to observe, experience and embrace the movement of it. Because these are also affected by previous statements. They too work by the same cause–>effect principle.
So for me everything is predetermined and there is no actual free will. Still the questions like "what's the point of it all then", "how can you live like that", etc. are incredibly stupid. The answer is simple, we don't know what life has in store for us. Yes it's all predetermined but we don't know where it all leads and that is the beauty of it.
It's like saying I don't watch movies because scenario is already written. You can still enjoy the movie even tho it is already know how it will all play out, as long as you don't know.

It was destiny. The algorithm I don't know I created… Made it. It's like the ability to forget… But also your me… And I'm you. Eventually I will have the skills to do as you… But in different form. 💎💎💎 Thanks

how is no one debilitated by this? is everyone taking this lightly? after being exposed to this concept, i cant even think straight. i cant even come to terms with the fact that even my thoughts are random and based on external stimuli, my mood, or whatever else. sometimes i dont even wanna think anymore. i don’t want to live a life of distraction, but lately, all i’ve wanted to do is distract myself because this concept pops into my head and makes me overthinking everything i think, do, or say. i dont know what to do
