Why has no one mentioned anything about The White Stripes’ Little Songs? If you take a look at the band’s discography, there’s a trend that they kept going throughout their entire six-album run.

It started with “Little People” on their self-titled debut.
Then “Little Bird” on De Stijl.
White Blood Cells gave us “Little Room.”
There was “Little Acorns” on Elephant.
“Little Ghost” on Get Behind Me Satan.
And finally “Little Cream Soda” on Icky Thump.

With how calculated Jack White is when it comes to presentation, there’s just no chance that this was a coincidence. Of course it was intentional. And knowing that they would continue this trend, would the group have put some extra thought into what these “little” songs would represent over the course of their career? Most of them are far from the Stripes’ greatest hits, so is there anything that makes these songs more significant? Well, let’s take a closer look at The White Stripes’ Little Songs.

This is grate analysis here. They reminded me of kids – brother and sister – playing their basement rec room when I first saw them in September 2000 at the Opera House in Toronto (opening for Sleeter Kinney) in front of about 5 people.

I Like Watching Videos Of Black Men Shaking Their Booty Cheeks… I don’t know why, but when I click on a video and see a black man shaking his cheeks, it just makes my mouth drool and I start dancing with the black man as well. Sometimes when I look at myself in the mirror, I sometimes hallucinate and see black men twerking on my couch, it.. brings a smile to my face. I wish I could become one with the black men twerking aggressively. Please understand what I’m going through and support me on my journey!

When problems overwhelm us and sadness smothers us, where do we find the will and the courage to continue? Well the answer may come in the caring voice of a friend, a chance encounter with a book, or from a personal faith. For Janet, help came from her faith, but it also came from a squirrel. Shortly after her divorce, Janet lost her father then she lost her job, she had mounting money problems. But Janet not only survived, she worked her way out of despondency and now she says, life is good again. How could this happen? She told me that late one autumn day when she was at her lowest she watched a squirrel storing up nuts for the winter, one at a time he would take them to the nest. And she thought, if that squirrel can take care of himself with a harsh winter coming on, so can I. Once I broke my problems into small pieces, I was able to carry them, just like those acorns, one at a time.

Little room was his room in his parents house where he had to sleep on the floor with his brothers drumkit and other instruments…as there was no where else for him to sleep

Hardest button to button, dead leaves and the dirty ground, blackmath, and the walking with the ghost cover are the 4 white stripe tracks I never get tired playing on the bass

the origins of Little Cream Soda was that the song was unnamed and as they were preparing for the albums completion, meg realised they didn’t have a Little song on Icky Thump so they named their then unnamed track “Little Cream Soda” after a line from it
