I’ve always got a plectrum or two stuck inside my acoustics at all times. I usually wait until I can’t find a pick, then go retrieve them all from the belly of an acoustic. I tend to lose fewer of them when I keep them “stored” inside the soundhole!
I just recently lost one inside the “F hole” of my telecaster thinline. Didn’t think it was possible. That one will certainly be harder to retrieve.

Plectrum retrieval tip: stick some Blu-tak on the end of a pencil then you can easily reach, grab and retrieve the plectrum from the sound hole. Job done.

Always leave 3 or 4 in the guitar. You never know when you will lack a pick.

If you drop your pick inside of your acoustic another way to get it is tune your A, D, G and B string down and reach in and get it with your hand.

Thanks; I love Taylor’s music, Red Light Fever was what I was listening to none stop around when I got married, which contrary to everybody’s dream-like ideas of a wedding is (or can be) just about the most stressful thing a couple can do aside from maybe moving house, and songs like Hell to Pay were just absolutely epic and in part summed up how my wife and I felt, and the relief of when it was over and we finally got to just enjoy a bit of time going away alone. Get the Money was also a great album that deserves wider recognition. But, really really hope you can do ‘Bob Quit His Job’ from the KOTA EP! My son loves that song 😎
