What’s STRANGE about Black Sabbath final REUNION concert | 2025 Back to the Beginning reaction

Metal Pilgrim | March 15, 2026

The legendary Black Sabbath will reunite for one last concert, as Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, so all four of the original Black Sabbath members will end the band’s career in a city where they started it all, fulfilling the boys’ lifelong dream to give one last concert at the Villa Park Stadium.

The event titled Back to the Beginning will feature the last Black Sabbath performance and the last ever Ozzy Osbourne solo show at the same time, as well as performances by Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Hailstorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Mastodon, and a bunch of additional performances by the legendary musicians, some of which it was actually a very pleasant surprise to see on the bill.

And by the way, talking about Ozzy Osbourne’s solo performance, which as I mentioned will take place alongside the last Black Sabbath concert, in a message posted by Ozzy Osbourne on his social media pages he pointed out that he will play his own short set before joining with Black Sabbath for his final bow.

00:00 – Black Sabbath return!
00:52 – Line up surprises & Ozzy Osbourne solo
03:44 – Where is Judas Priest?
04:59 – The signs were there
05:48 – It’s for charity
06:28 – Health issues

Because of the lack of the Great Bill Ward I watched none of the "recent" concerts or listened to 13… Without Bill it is not the Sabbath sound

If sabbath cares about its fans it will speak up about the controversy and let us know this is exactly what we were told. A concert of Black Sabbath , not a couple songs , but a concert. Anything less and they scammed us. And I’m not a hater , I’m a life long fan and they are my favorite group of all time. So if anything I’m brokenhearted. I didn’t even go see the end tour because they left Bill behind. Seen them 13 tour which blew my mind. Album too. C’mon guys , we are your fans , do us right.

Sabbath, Crue, Kiss and the rest of the drama queens telling me they're having another Farewell Tour lol shat's been going on for the last 22 years. Your shelf life has been up for a couple of decades, quit shating on yourselves and your past legacy, what a faking JOKE! What don't you get about dying, your shelf life and not being 23 anymore??

I saw Black Sabbath with Dio in 1980. I also saw Ozzy with Rhoads and also with Lee. To be honest; BS with Dio is more memorable for me. I can distinctly remember BS concert but Couple times of Ozzy concert is a blur. Regardless I think this concert will be good but the tickets sold out in 16 minutes. I am thinking of still going to UK from us in the hopes of buying a ticket from skalpers or if not; pretend to be a stadium utility worker or a roady and sneak in. Maybe wear a hard hat and a reflective vest with a ID hanging on my neck. If anyone have some idea on how to get in. Let me know.

It's increasingly obvious this is essentially a scam.

It's not what it was originally presented as.

Now that the tickets have essentially sold out it's been revealed that there's not actually going to be a Black Sabbath set, and Ozzy will basically just sit on stage and occasionally hum along.

Bill, Geezer, and Tony might play 4 songs.

It's not what it was sold as.

They’re all pushing 80! If it’s just a tribute festival w all these amazing bands plus a few Sab cameos that really should be enough for us. Plus, all the € (supposedly) will go to charity orgs.

its more of a tribute show by all the bands , and Sabbath only doing bits & pieces of songs??? the ones we all have heard a billion times??? Propping up old guys on stage to be laughed at???? Ozzy is the main guy that is not in the greatest shape, and or Bill to some extent? Tony and Geezer were always in fairly good shape. I saw Sabbath in 1997? or 99? 1st reunion tour. ok show I was really far from stage, but did not seem that great. overall,
