I believe that people should only have animals if they are cats or dogs because they are animals that can no longer survive without humanity, and they should also be responsible for them. They should know what their pet's needs are. In other cases, people should not have pets

So you take a baby animal away from it's family. Then you either put it in a cage or make it stay in the house. It's only allowed to go outside with you. You feed it but it has no freedom. Real nice 😂😂

God knew that not all of us humans wont be able to love eachother unconditionally like how our pets do, and thats why god made these wonderful simple loveable creatures for us that will love us until the end

Owning pets is pathetic. Stop needing to comtrol something living and forcing it to "love" you. You love something you inslave and force to live with you by buying it. I dont care the whole world thinks ots normal, because it's not. At one point the entire world thought the earth was flat.

The best way I can describe it is this: They're cute and I love them. There isn't always an obvious or rational reason for it. But I do think that creating bonds with others, even others of different species, is a fundamental trait in the majority of humans. Maybe in times long past it was a survival mechanism. But I think that for a lot of us, we need them emotionally. Because the desire to bond with other creatures never went away.

I have a small flock of pet budgerigar parakeets. They are the smallest of the parrot family. Yet they have the biggest personalities. And I love watching them learn and grow. And they can be pretty cuddly too. There is nothing quite like giving a happy bird some cheek pets.

But I've grown pretty attached to animals that I couldn't touch, that I had no way of knowing if they felt anything towards me. I've had a few different small pet fish.

There is something about watching over and caring for an animal that fills my mind with wonder. Realising that I am looking at another living being that is so different from me. And yet, we share this same rock spinning through space. And we really have a lot in common.

For us Christians, as God Himself cares for all his creatures, concern for animal life is a character quality that the godly will reflect—“Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel” (Proverbs 12:10).

When you have the right pet, it gives you happiness/ companionship/ relax when petting em. In exchange, they have safe shelter, food. And this mutual benefit is a win-win for both.

I'm convinced, that we are our dog's pets. My dog has never fed me, given me a bath, cleaned my poop, cut my nails, and the list goes on, and on.

Besides having a child; a close pet is the most fulfilling, life changing experiences someone can have imo. The companionship and love they can provide is irreplaceable. They use them for therapy for a reason!
