What NASA Found on Pluto Is Raising Serious Questions
For most of the last century, we treated Pluto like a frozen, forgotten rock, the final lonely signpost before deep space. But it turned out to be far stranger than that.
Pluto has a wandering “heart,” a possible ocean buried beneath its ice, and volcanoes that seem to ooze slush rather than lava. It has fields of sharp methane spires taller than skyscrapers, dunes shaped by winds in an atmosphere that barely seems thick enough to move anything, and a moon that may have been captured rather than formed alongside it.
And somehow, some of the strangest discoveries have only come in the last two years.

Maybe the frozen layer is not very thick, so when something hits it liquid flows up to the surface filling any craters and then it freezes

I don't know where this pronunciation of "Sputnik" comes from (US is my guess) but it's wrong!

Im guessing I'm going to catch shade for this but… an under ground / under ice liquid ocean is not huge news anymore. There are a number if places in our star system that has could be described this way. Big news would be accessing these oceans. Not just discovering a 6th location with potential… POTENTIAL water.

I repaired Allen Stern's laptop about 20 years ago and knew that he was going to be on to something big at some point.

So this is why Pluto was quietly re-established as being a planet.

It was completely OBVIOUS that Pluto was not a dead planet at all.
They called it a "dwarf planet".
So, tell me: How could Pluto ever be considered "dead" when it is actually populated by dwarves?
Duh!

Let’s say you need to be spherical to be a planet, then Pluto would qualify

I wonder if a dwarf planet like this colliding with pre-earth is how we got our water. It’s crazy to think there’s this meticulously maintained snowball so “close” to home
