I felt that the final episode was too rushed. It should've been a two-parter to let it flow better, especially the very end…they could've ended the cliffhanger of them holding onto each other, and a “to be continued” with the part two episode of “are they gonna make it?” with montages of their time together throughout the series, and then their future together. Great show, but this just felt too abrupt.

I love how we still brought up people saying Nathan was awful to her, when he got another season, and has been on TV before and since, and she has literally done nothing, except failed shows. I think reporting smear campaigns with obvious factual deficiencies is awful human behavior.

Stana was the best asset the show had. She gets you in the feels with her expressions. Show was wonderful but I didn’t like how s7-8 was done though there was good episodes. Killing Beckett off would’ve pissed me off and I wouldn’t have watched.

I loved the show and was so sorry to see it end. Now Nathan is in a dumb show called the Rookie. The writers are horrible and the chemistry between actors is bad. The only light spot is Nathan is a great actor but he makes all the other actors look so amateur.

I just accidentally finished my first watch of the series earlier today (just started it a month ago exactly actually) and I loved it. I had watched through the rookie right before I knew about Castle

THANK GOD we didn't have a 9th season, Castle without Beckett would have been HORRIBLE, knowing the tea behind the scenes I'm just grateful we found an actress like Stana she's just amazing

Even though the show's title named Castle, around 75% of the show's viewers were mainly because of Beckett's presence with her incredible acting in all the seasons… & No offense to castle's fanbase but to be honest from around middle of season 3 onwards Nathan fillion gained a lot of weight, noticeably on his face & his belly were nowhere deserved to be the hero's role & Beckett's love interest at all & in comparison to Stana katic, she maintains season after season her physical appearance with perfection, Beckett looks more beautiful, more younger with a serious roles in every episodes which brings more viewers… & In opposite to Nathan fillion Around season 5 castle's physical appearance compare to Beckett was more like father figure appearance to a daughter Beckett & definitely not like a romantic couples along with his jackass, self centred, immature role who always thinks only about himself & people should be running around him just because he's rich.

Castle fans are so fkn obnoxious lmfao. Season 8 was good. The finale wasn't great, but season 8 continued the shift in tone that had been progressively building the entire show. Shippers have totally sabotaged the majority of criticism regarding Castle. I loved it all.

I think the show started going down when Beckett and Castle finally got together. The chemistry was a lot better when they were flirting with one another. I was not a fan of Castle but was a huge fan of Beckett and her brothers (Esposito & Ryan).

That being said, there are a few good episodes in the last season but overall it was a flop. I wish the ending showed the rest of the cast and where they were 7 years later.

this isn't the first time a main actor gets written off a show but stana getting fired broke my heart, whatever the reason behind this decision it wasn't pleasant to know that she herself was blindsided and hurt by it, that's simply not the way to end someone's contract. even andrew marlow was disappointed since that wasn't the ending he envisioned for her character, and it was unfair because i really do think stana put everything she had into playing kate and killing her off would have been a disservice to the show and to the fans. she was obviously a fan favorite and, even if rick was the main character, there is no castle without kate beckett. the series finale felt rushed and unfinished but, knowing what the plan for s9 was, i'm glad it was cancelled instead.

The shows only failure was exhausting its premise. Once Beckett and Castle got together it was no longer a procedural drama, there goes half the viewers. If they were going to kill off Beckett they should have done it around episode 100, then retool the show into something else.

The FBI part, the metaplot with the detective assoziation and the bad metplot with the senator and the death of the mother are bad design ideas.
But the love story and the team works great.

Castle had the worst ending I have ever witnessed. It was rushed, like they could not make up their minds. First, they killed off Castle and Kate so no other network could pick up the show the following season. Then when they realized the audience would not accept that, they threw in the pretend family moment from years down the road. It was all very insulting to the fans who were loyal to the show, many for all 173 episodes. It was disgraceful… As for me, I have boycotted ABC Prime Time since that night. I have never nor will I ever tune in to any ABC Network Prime Time show, until they come back and fix what they broke. I don't care if it is a thirty minute show or an hour or a full movie, they should go back and scrub the last episode, as though it never happened, and finish out the series run with Castle and Kate walking away in dignity, with their heads held high. Laying in pools of blood from being shot by a nobody was unacceptable. The silly dream sequence at the breakfast table was insulting. They can still get the cast back together. They can make enough of advertising for a one-off episode. They broke it, and by rights, should fix it. Add that to the DVD Collection, I would look to buy the entire series.

That whole line about Nathan being mean Stana, just DOES NOT RING TRUE! He has a whole acting life before and after Castle, so you would think there would have been some form of corroboration… No? Furthermore, all the other actors form Castle have been on his new show, The Rookie… All of them. Additionally , Stana Katic has not really worked since Castle. Why aren't people knocking her door down? Maybe they know something…

She was a stupid, selfish, egotistical, mischievous, broken, unsatisfiable, hurtful, apathetic, clueless, compulsive liar. She hurt Castle so many times unjustifiably that it is unfathomable. She could never love him the unconditional way he loved her. She always found new unique ways to ruin his peace of mind and life without any rational reason. Castle should have dumped her after she kissed Vaughn (Lied about it) and took that FBI job (Lied again), planning to leave him behind. That was a clear red flag. Writers should have written a different script for her and dumped her ass after season 5. She could never be satisfied having a loving husband. She had to get him killed after torturing him psychologically for all these years. Really hated the character from the end of season 5 Episode 21 onward. No man deserves so much pain, grief from his GF or wife. Nobody else was insane enough to marry her. Loved the show though because of Castle and his family.

The network HAD to know Castle without Beckett was a no go. Yes, shows fire main characters all the time, but she had too big of an emotional connection with the audience. Castle would have definitely crashed and burned over that decision.

I due attori andavano d'accordo, e stato lo stesso fillion a dire di aver avuto problemi di gelosia per il fatto che il personaggio della collega fosse piaciuto di più da subito. Quando fate sti video informatevi meglio

I remember seeing a clip somewhere that showed a suburban couple resembling C & B; intimating that they had faked their deaths and entered some kind of Protection Program. I thought it was an OK ending. Considering what season 9 would have been, I'm glad they canceled it.
