   The reason why they seem to be misleading people is because they want to hold to a sola scriptura view on the bible which is why they defend the biblical text with their life to claim an authority with circullar reasoning. “The bible is perfect, therefore the bible is true”. Since the recent mass conversion to the eastern orthodox tradition which doesn’t hold to sola scriptura they have been hammering the EO church and doubled down on sola scriptura to defend classical protestantism, but now that you are challenging their sole authority they might get disingenuous. We christians have to watch out for this mentality and stay consistent and not over-extend.

   dead sea scrolls was translated from Greek to Hebrew then Aramaic. down translated amongst other scripts, why no body wants to admit this is crazy

   he should not have used the phrase "word for word" but "thought for thought". Either way this is a fruitless debate in general. The differences are completely inconsequential to what matters, What matters is what is being communicated. These variances do not change the theology which is what matters. I understand you all like to debate, so thats what you guys are doing, that's cool, I enjoy it too, but when you zoom out to a macro view, the whole debate on this subject is inconsequential.

   From a Quick Look up it’s 95% word for word identical with 2600 textual variants from over 1000 years.
   If a lawyer gets 95% on a test over 1000 years. It’s not that bad.

   I think your might be really trying to really pick at the 5% saying maybe we can make people loose there faith over 5%. Not to mention you saying you actually made some of the mistake yourself.

   It’s like your glass being 95% full and being pissed off, saying well it’s just not good enough. I’m pissed off. So people no longer believe what he’s saying.
   I like what you do and bring attention to detail but might be a good idea to step away or back for a bit.

    Outstanding of you Alex..thank you. I appreciate your precise discernment. Accuracy of statements purported as true is all important especially in today's world. I sensed something off about Wes's assertions from my first listen/view of him. Imo, he is enlisted in the religious agenda, enjoying his status, and something of a spin artist, perception-management tool. I also believe Wes knows exactly what he is doing, not counting on some detecting his disingenuousness. When backed in a corner, he back-pedals just as strategically as he spins, to save face. I so appreciate Alex's mental acuity, diligence and integrity.

    If youre using Dan as a reference then youve already lost the plot. hes the most bias person in this field of study. You have much less bias

    The Scriptures don't depend on The Dead Sea Scrolls, so it's an overall mute point. Still, present the discrepancies and let readers decide for themselves.
