So annoying. I thought this would be worth the watch, but apparently, you're trying out for comedy central, also lame, so you should get in.

Midway was a great victory, but the battle that decided the Second World War was Pearl Harbor.
Jutland didn't decide anything, except maybe Admiral Beatty was the south end of a north bound mule.
The others were some good choices.

@11:11 The Germans won the tactical victory however the British won the strategic victory!

The Battle of Midway basically reversed the roles of the Japanese and American navies.
The Japanese navy was unable to mount a successful offensive after that and went on the defensive.
The US navy finally came off a defensive position and was able to go on the offensive.
Even if the Battle of Midway went with the Japanese prevailing, it still would have only been a matter of time before the same outcome happened in the Pacific theater.

I would argue that the Battle of Yorktown can be considered a decisive French naval victory, as with the defeat of the British fleet, their army counterparts surrendered shortly thereafter, and led to the birth of the United States of America. I don’t think I have to say how much of an impact the birth of that nation had on the world stage.

Why is the game battleship called battleship? Is there a history behind that name? Or was it chosen at random?

Interesting that Midway was won by intelligence and a bit of luck; and the Japanese beat the Russians because the Russians used Germans to do the signaling, and a key German was killed. Not everything went by the book…

You could probably also add the US Revolutionary War here too. While Cornwallis did surrender to Washington on land in Yorktown, the battles out in the Chesapeake Bay between the British and the French/American fleet pretty much bottled up Cornwallis and forced his hand.

The Treaty of Portsmouth that ended the Russo/Japanese War was actually signed in Kittery, Maine. Because the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard was not actually in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, but just across the state border in Kittery, Maine.

Perhaps not a "decisive" battle, however, what about the battle between the U.S.S. Monitor and the C.S.S. Virginia? The U.S. Civil War conflict that saw the first naval battle between "ironclad" ships. Like the "Battle of Jutland," this battle did not have a clear victor, but it did change naval warfare on the world stage. And since we're comparing the first ironclads battle to the "Battle of Jutland," you can say that the U.S.S. Monitor ultimately won.

This has to be the Mandela effect about the Roman corpus. Now not only does it make no sense to build such a contraption nor would it help you in any way as it creates a bottleneck but the plain and simple fact is that the Romans didn't build the stupid thing THEY INVENTED THE GRAPPLING HOOK!!!!
They would come aside the enemies ship throw their grappling hooks and pull the two ships together which allowed them to simply charge over the railings all at once opposed to maneuvering across a rickety old plank to fight one dude at a time like the Persians did against the freaking Spartans.
Wtf is really going on in this fake a$$ sh*thole of a "world"?
