I have never tried blow but i can relate to the horrendous, empty feeling knowing that the night is over, the sun is rising, and i have to get home so i can sleep and feel somewhat right again. Of course sleeping was never sound and uninterrupted after a night of hard drinking and partying. My nerves couldn't hang like that which i had to learn the hard way. I drank big time throughout my twenties before i had met my wife. Her presence alone helped dry me up and it's been wonderful. I still have a celebratory drink of scotch neat when the occasion calls for it but i no longer drink to achieve drunkenness.

Everybody Is telling Their Stories about The Drugs and the Drug use. It is all a Big bummer and All of the terrible stories and I have lost so many friends and relatives to that Garbage. It's amazing I even survived the 80's . And here i am 65 and still thriving and people say I look Really Great for my age. All i can say Folks is Their has to be something about a persons Genes ? . How can Some of these Rock stars still be alive into their 80's and approaching 90 and they did So many Drugs and are still alive and kicking. I guess It's in the hands of a Higher Power how long we get to Live.

The morning after feeling is the worst, especially when you run out and have to soon face reality…and people. I can remember party nights on the road (I’m a musician also) going all night, and then all the coke was gone…and the clock said 9:00 a.m. The curtains would be drawn as tight as possible and the scramblers had left-it was just you, high and alone. And meanwhile, you had to be in the lobby soon and get on the bus for the next city-facing the tour staff and your bandmates, pretending you weren’t high as fuck. The ideal situation was when you could sneak into the bus or van, grab your bench or bunk, and pretend to be asleep.
Deep shame and physically draining.

Roth was jealous of the fact the Edward ‘scored’ a famous wife-jealous of the attention that came along with that: tabloids, press etc. DLR only wanted the spotlight on him.

I can TOTALLY relate to "the birds chirping" syndrome… it just happened to me yesterday morning and I haven’t partied like that since like 2012… I heard them chirping when the sun was coming up and instant "flashback"

I wish i would have saved my money , 70 now, smoked weed, drank everday, snorted coke had a really bad habit, i was a product of the 80,s loved van halen born in orange co, gave it all up 25 yrs now, but the money was just gone only regret i pissed away at least half a mil
