Congrats on the new status!
9:04 I was watching a “What Is Politics?” Video on Israel/Palestine and I learned that part of what made the situation so toxic to native Palestinian peasants in the early 20th century was that prior to the mandate period the Ottomans moved from a Usufruct Property to a Private Property system to enable foreign investment, similar to what you discussed in your Fish Wars video. The property change made it vastly easier for evictions to occur and cause the displacement of Palestinians. I thought it was an interesting similarity.
