Oh my goodness, those hens look awful! You have way too many roosters for those few hens. They are mating the feathers off of them. I cannot imagine this not being painful to the birds. You need to give them little jackets to protect them from the rooster's claws until they get their feathers back and you must also cull the number of roosters you have. Or add more hens. Poor birds. It is painful to watch them run around like that.

I'm guessing possibly aerial predators that got the ducklings? Even though it's a tight flight space inside the duck fence, but it's not entirely impossible. That or some creatures has figured out to climb up and down the fence and carried off the ducklings one by one? But yes putting chicken wire on the bottom perimeter, and a roof over the cage could help.

I thought the whole time that there should have been something preventing the ducklings from getting out of the area, like chicken wire or hardware cloth, but live and learn!
