50:20: Popular narratives on how to address the atrocities that continue to be committed against Native people assume that settlers have equal claim to the land. The article "Protective Presence and the Machinery of Control" by Cody O’Rourke and Lara Kilani talks about something similar with regards to Palestine:
"Coexistence frameworks assume the settler’s presence is a settled question and ask only how to manage relations between two populations with “equivalent claims”. This is the liberal and zionist trap which treats the outcome of conquest as the starting point for negotiation. This assumes that it is not zionism itself that is fundamentally violent, oppressive, and eliminatory, but its practices under the current government."
The answer to what is to be done is very simple for me, an African living in the US: solidarity with the indigenous peoples of the Americas and land back. Unfounded fears on what land back "means" for the future of my people here only serve to impede solidarity and maintain the status quo's purported starting point.

I disagree that white supremacy comes from the catholic church. Spanish colonists were based on religion. You had to profess to be catholic and you could become a Spanish colonist. There were black conquistadors, for example. English colonists on the other hand had to be white. England could not organize around religion s there weren't enough protestants, so they organized their colonists around whiteness.

Think of “purposeful amnesia” as a useful tool to forget that most of us in the U.S. are on stolen lands (colonizer indoctrination). Even if one is aware, how does one compensate when we have structures and systems that violently subvert those who believe in compensation for historical wrongs and stolen indigenous lands? Colonizer country elected twice crappy-pants orange man. 🤦🏻♂️😖

The American flag, the stars and Stripes, the so called symbol of freedom and democracy has always been a toxic propaganda operation to hide the actual truth. The stars represent the 50 states but in reality they are 50 skulls 💀 and every one of these skulls represents 10 indigenous nations genocided by the European Christian Settler Colonists. The red Stripes signify the rivers of blood they shed in achieving ownership of their stolen land, the white Stripes signify their white supremacist mindset that is the keystone of their racist culture 🇺🇸 Mitakuye Oyasin ❤.

One point l think should go into the mix here, 'Christianty' itself did not originate from Europe, Europeans borrowed it from the Middle East from non 'White' people so that needs to be considered when saying you can't be 'Christian' without being a White Supremacist . European White Supremacy claims a whole lot of things that they did not originally invent, like the wheel, the moldboard plow, the domestication of animals, rhe the invention of agriculture , Democracy ( The Iroquois)
Christianity, and we need to acknowledge that their claims to be the originators of these things should be called out
They are not the people who invented the wheel
They are not the people who invented agriculture
They are not the people who domesticated farm animals
They are not the people who invented writing
They are not the people who invented metallurgy.
They are not the people who invented the moldboard plow.
White Supremacy claims those inventions falsely and we need to acknowledge this

1:09:30 "That takes an enormous amount of intent and effort to engineer something like that." I agree. Sam Doak was a white supremacist who retired in the 1980s. Before that he was an engineer working on bridges and railroads in Colorado for the Army Corps of Engineers. He was my grandfather, which is how I cal tell you, he knew exactly what he was doing.
