Just finished watching 1883. Very apt for todays political situation. Never forget, what was attempted, what was overcome, what was available, and What is now! Trail of Tears for sure. May Lord have Mercy on all of us! God Bless, lead and Guide the United States!

I loved how at the end Elsa was reunited with Sam… I guess in the afterlife.. I wondered did he die as well… I so wished she could have gone back to Sam and lived happily ever after..

1883 is by far the best o the whole YS universe that was created.
og yellowstone went on for too long.
1923 meanders along with plotlines that are – by themselves – ok but lead to actually nowhere and feel disconnected.

    1883 was just… good.

Elsa's character became quite annoying in the last 2 or 3 episodes. Her immature, melodramatic teenage love story and associated antics, including the narration was like someone dragging their fingernails down a chalk board.

Season 5 Part 2 wasn't real and if you haven't seen it do yourself a favor and don't see it nothing is up to standard you can tell Taylor just wanted to be done with it and it was nothing more than in episode advertisements. I understand how pissed off he was with Kevin but after he couldn't work things out but he put no effort into sealing up that chapter of the Ranch. Just use your imagination and write it in your mind and I guarantee it will be much better than the product they aired.

I'm so hooked to this Duttons I followed from 1883, 1923 and the yellowstone I just started watching the mountain ghost on the yellowstone but is so sad watching the deserted ranch old building left I started thinking that once in the life people lived and obviously loved their ranch, my thoughts went far that owners died and shows that we live in a borrowed time once you pass everything is gone find that the next generation myt not like the farm life and leave everything to ruin living in modern cities

Just got finished with this series and man…hit me in the feels real hard. Couldn't help but tear up. I happened to watch 1923 prior to this so I fully believe the ending is Elsa and Sam meeting again in Heaven.

The scene of that poor scalped lady, and the scene after that with the man digging with no shovel like a maniac made me crying like an infant. This is why it's necessary to bring bad people to justice in some way, even if there is no rule of law.

"I dont know your god or his rules," is the best thing that came out of this series. That was the single most powerful and respectful statement that man could ever live but but wilfully ignore though arrogance and ignorance. That is how you know our time as a civilization has peaked and it is all downhill from there.

Here is the joke of 1883.
The railroad that took them to FortWorth by 1883 went all the way to California. Sam Elliots character just needed to stay on and he could have blown his brains out in a couple of days.
    Here is the bigger joke.
The trans continental railroad up north was also completed well before 1883 so instead of everyone dying, for less money they could have bought train tickets out west and went in comfort.
    Here is the biggest joke.
Elsa only decided to speak Comanche after getting shot. All she had to do was tell the guy she was married to Sam and she would have lived happily ever after.

Terrible writting. Which was also the downfall of Yellowstone.

    Nothing against Yellowstone and 1923😖
but 1883 was one of the best tv westerns I've seen in a long time. I wish this could've been written where we got another season out of it, even if a few died in the end and wouldn't be back.

Elsa's death is heartbreaking and I kinda saw it coming but Captain Shea taking his life in the end in that oceanside ripped my heart out and took me days, weeks, months to get over it or maybe I will never get over it.
