    1:45 If you ever say MGK’s switch had any impact on our culture again, I’ll find you and give you a lesson in culture. MGK is a joke…we listened to his early rap as a joke. No one has ever taken that clown seriously, let alone allow him to be the influence for their overall lifestyle. Sorry….but that was a ridiculous claim. It’s happening because of black fatigue. No one wants to act like uncaged uneducated animals anymore. They want to be beautiful, fun, intelligent white emo kids. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I hate it too, but it’s the truth…my truth…your truth…THE truth.

    Ok kind of unrelated but related, who is the tiktoker in 9:20? The girl, She looks entirely too familiar but I cant put a finger on it and I will be god damned if I go and look at TX2s profile to find a video of her in it. I imagine they post WAY too much.

    "Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE

    The problem I seem to have with newer "emo" or "metal" music is that it all sounds the same. The drums, the guitar, it sounds the exact same and it's nothing new or original. I like unique sounds and I like the metal or the rock/emo music it was back then even though I wasn't alive when it started, I still found my way listening to those genres cause my parents were into them. But music like Avril Lavigne's new stuff doesn't hit hard cause you could play me the melody and I would mistake for any other song that has come out being called rock or emo now-a-days. It all sounds the same and the lyrics describe the one topic the same ways with boring lyrics. Sure the older music was cringe but at least it sounded unique, now-a-days it feels like new punk/emo singers sing about the most genetic emo shit ever.
