I am 48. I have accept that there is no sacred perphas of life, except the natural one, to keep the species alive. And the second think I have accepted is we cannot ever be saciated, not for long. Living in our society, degenerations to have online friend, online dates. And alienated from our essences. And who can blames them knowing that all our lives is for no reason excepted dying. Sounds to me like Zapffe ought to have isolated himself for a couple of months and done a deep dive into the dark. It ceases to be scary when you allow yourself to be one with it for a bit.
