This is what is happening in US now. Smart politicians think the issue is too big to solve, so they do nothing. Dumb people like trump and his cabinets think they know everything and start leading US into you know this mess….

The cousin story isn't a good example. That is a Bullshitter. It's a lot different. For instance, a lady yelled at me for liking the White Stripes because she believed she knew more about drumming due to her husband's involvement.

To bring up Anti Vaxing, I'm would imagine tribalism helps people not investigate claims of either side. Asch Conformity Experiment, is the study I might be pointing to.

When it comes to stuff like this, this is why I believe intelligent people should be more confident as the truth is alot of intelligent people are extremely insecure and stressed out because they are uncertain about themselves while unintelligent people tend to be some of the most confident people you can imagine in your life and as a result of that, that is why alot of them tend to get higher positions in life as they tend to be more willing to take risks when it comes to getting higher position jobs, while intelligent people tend to be more pessimistic as they overcalculate everything and as a result are less likely to take risks when it comes to getting higher position jobs as well as tend to doubt themselves more when it comes to the ideas that they come up with so in truth that is why I don't think there is anything wrong with intelligent people being confident as in a world as poorly run like this one is, we need more intelligent people to run it but how are they going to if they are so pessimistic in their way of thinking as the truth is as long as you are not bragging about your intelligence than there is nothing wrong with being confident and that in all honesty is the truth when it comes to this issue.

Wow! He checks Google on his phone for FACTS? OMG!
That alone is a sure sign of NOT knowing half of what you think you know.
GOOGLE can never be relied upon for genuinely reliable facts, nor for complete information.
99% of anything you see in a Google search is politically biased and loaded.

As a photographer I run into this all the time. So many people think they know but have no idea. I am always in my own head thinking I know very little. I’m always looking to improve.

😂😂😂 this was released 2 years ago, are “we” still saying that the “anti-vaxers” are guilty of this? Mind blowing 🤯, it turns out that was projection cause……..anti-vaxers were right. 😂

I had to stop at your comment on Vax, you clearly did no research on vaccines to make that comment… the anti xaxers were the educated ones.. you didn't listen.

That graph on the thumbnail is an example of the Dunning-Kruger effect. It's actually not a graph that shows the Dunning-Kruger effect. Also, the Dunning-Kruger effect is apparently under a lot of debate, since it's apparently not recreatable according to some.

For the longest time since my early 20s, I've started to notice how dumb people who think they're smart really aren't, and I couldn't find how to explain this to others. I mean, I recognize I'm not that smart myself, but some don't realize that they are as well too. You just need to understand to gain knowledge, you must know that you're not smart first to gain knowledge. Also, when they fail to realize this, their egos will blind them which will causes a whooole lot of problems as well, kinda cringe. Now I know lol

Just a little constructive criticism my friend, I find it very hard to listen to you. I find you have a little too much vocal fry, and lip smacking when narrating… however I still enjoy your content

Seems like his best example is where he trusts government and scientists to not only know what they are doing, but to also tell the truth, you know, when they claim to know the long term effects, even though it’s NOT been around long enough to possibly know. And the “misinformation”, that tells me that he’s responding well to his programming.

The scary part is that many people think “more confident = more correct.” So they are swayed by a confident but inept person, but dismiss the expert who displays less confident and certainty.

Just remember all the people who thought they were suddenly virus experts during COVID.

One commenter I recall was certain he knew masks did not work, because the holes in masks are larger than a virus. BUT what they didn’t know they did NOT know is that viruses have no innate transport system -they don’t just jump out of your nose on little parachutes. Viruses need a large respiratory droplet for hydration, maintaining temp and transport, and masks DO block these respiratory droplets ….and work.
