31:40 my question to you Tom is this: if we all agree that stopping/slowing down development now is bad because of China, then what do we do when we want halt development right before AGI in regards to China?
Our options will not be any different then than they are now: diplomatic pressure, economic sanctions and then preemptive strike.
So in other words: why not pump the breaks now when you are further away from the cliff, then pumping the breaks right at the cliffs edge and hoping you stop on time.
The worst thing is: we don’t have good choices. We cannot bomb China, we cannot attack China. We cannot influence China now or later. They will do what it is they want to do and in my belief the only thing that will stop everyone from further development is something horrific happening. Something so bad that will act as a deterrent even for China.
Will this be naturally occurring or human engineered is probably the only question to ponder on.

If we are going to a blade runner/cyberpunk 2077 future, I am sure it started with 2 or 3 companies and guys like Dario trying to ban competition, open source and selling fear where we need to hand them the keys otherwise we are all going to die.

If they were pro humanity, and against a dystopian control future, they would open source everything. Empowering everybody is the only way forward.

Remember, there will always be someone yelling at humans that they can’t leave the cave, it is too dangerous, and that if we give them control they would take care of us. This was ALWAYs the wrong choice.

Human evolution is correlated to the level of freedom and individual empowerment we slowly gained.

We have two choices of future. Empowerment to every human being, every nation, and let the majority of good humans together beat the minority of bad actors with open source, freedom and competition. Or, start the cyberpunk path with guys like Dario trying to BAN competition and do the SAME mistake as any previous bad actors: to think they he knows better than the collective, than the market itself, than organic competition, and “save” everybody with control.

Dario is the young Anakin Skywalker of the blade runner future. This guys is basically saying “humanity can’t have abundance of intelligence freely. Only 2 or 3 private companies can control the access of intelligence and determine how to distribute it to everybody”.

How about fuck off? Open source will never die. We won’t let you ruin the world and create the ultimate weapon of control, materializing Alien Earth, Blade Runner, etc. Fuck your ambitions of monopoly of the worlds intelligence.

    Japanese internment was special
It was not a mania of racist xenophobia, but a logical conclusion, which destroyed many businesses and livelihoods of Japanese Americans.

The key insight which often goes unmentioned, was that one of the pilots in the pearl harbor attack crash landed in Hawaii and successfully rallied local Japanese Americans into insurrection, resulting in the deaths of their neighbors.

Japan is not like Canada or Cuba or Mexico, which have complex indentities, Japan is an ethno state with a deep culture of loyalty and collective self sacrifice.

It was also known to American Command that the Japanese strategy included inspiring the loyalty of Japanese Americans into revolutionary insurrectionist acts of sabotage. Seeing as the case existed for that having been a success with the one instance of the pilot, before the war had even gotten started, it was feared that the same would play out at a much larger scale further down the escalation.

It was a challenging policy decision, and the consequences were devastating to those American’s it affected. But it should be noted it was not forced labor like we see in other internments through history, quite the contrary they built them baseball diamonds and playgrounds in hopes of softening the inherent hostility of the experience. Afterward they received checks in an attempt to compensate for the disruptive damages, although such trauma suffered is likely impossible to compensate for.

I can’t say if it was good or necessary. We don’t have the counterfactual of seeing the damage done by ethno Japanese loyalists, who may have gone the same way as those influenced by the pilot.

Which is all to say, Japanese internment is not directly comparable to other concentrations in camps.

It would be a false equivalency.

And it Probably could of been handled allot better. Or perhaps better handled differently.

It’s a nice exercise to think about how you would of approached it, or ways that it could of been made right or better.

How often are bad policies simply a failure of imagination. A mistake of expediency which gets misinterpreted as having malicious intentions. Or later gets co-opted into a larger narrative of sentiments it never belonged to. In this instance it was more practicality than prejudice. But the prejudice narrative is actually something people still suffer in their mind. Which draws from the true reality of historical prejudice, but also from misconceptions, distorting history and causing suffering in believing the fictional narratives.

In understanding the nuances we avoid misattribution. Motives are much more complicated than their retrospective condemnation.

The same people and institutions who fed you a lie during covid and locked you up and inflated your money are telling you that AI is too dangerous for YOU to use but not THEM.

People need to stop and think about where this AI panic actually leads—because we are being scared into giving this technology away.

Every dramatic video screaming “AGI,” “superintelligence,” “consciousness,” or “AI breakout” pushes us closer to panic-driven regulation. Most people throwing around these words cannot even define them; or they intentionally are using them in a way to mislead the general public. They are turning speculation and ill-defined vocabulary into terror because terror gets clicks.

But here is what should actually scare you:

The giant corporations will not lose access to powerful AI. Governments will not lose access. They can afford the lawyers, licenses, compliance departments, private systems, and political influence.

You will lose access… you will get the leftovers, the first and second generation, AI while the Corporations and Governments get the premium powerful versions that control you, keep you in line… sell you crap.

Small businesses will lose access. Independent developers will lose access. Ordinary people will be left with weakened, monitored, restricted AI while governments and megacorporations keep the most powerful systems for themselves.

That is how the most important technology of our lifetime gets taken away from the public—not by force, but by frightening people until they beg for it to be locked up.

Whether this fear campaign is intentional or merely reckless, the outcome is the same: less competition, less public power, and more control concentrated in institutions that already control far too much.

Before sharing another doomsday video, ask one question: Who benefits when the public becomes frightened enough to surrender this technology?

I'm an atheist, and don't believe in Satan, but if someone asked me, for argument sakes, if you had to name someone as Satan who has risen from the depths of hell, who would it be? It would be Dario and his fellow Anthropic co-founders. There is no private group that is a greater threat to this country. They have already harmed this country significantly by making this a political issue.

They lie everyday because they want to scare the public into agreeing to regulatory capture, because without it, this company will be irrelevant in five years, but with it, their company can become a monopoly many times more powerful than Google. They not only lie, they engage in psyops and deception to fool the American public and politicians. This left-wing zealot, Dario, and his executives want the Democrat Party to help him achieve this supremacy via a mutually beneficial relationship.

If the Republicans don't surrender to this Democrat-Anthropic powerful alliance, the Democrat Party and their mainstream media will blame every misuse of AI, and every layoff due to AI, on the Republicans for years. This is the same type of trap that the Democrats-Swamp alliance used to setup Trump in his first term with Covid. They took a benign virus, that was only a threat to the old and sick, and with the aid of their mainstream media, scared the public, as they are doing now with AI. Trump had to go along with this hoax during an election year, or their mainstream media would have blamed every death on Trump.

Liars often say that everyone, like Elon Musk and others, agrees with them. Elon Musk doesn't agree with them, he wants open source AI, and Anthropic wants to destroy it. Liars also say that their quest for absolute power at the expense of others, is for the good of others (Trojan Horse), and claim they are just good people trying to save the world (Hitler said that). That's what makes these people so evil. They have no ethics, and ONLY care about their power, wealth, and their left-wing liberal utopia. Wolves in sheep's clothing is probably the best analogy written.

Actually Anthropic's request does make sense. Dario wants gov regulation because he wants everyone to stop not just his company. If he stops alone, OpenAI will not and pass right by Anthropic. But if regulatory body stops both then Dario won't be pressured to continue at this pace. I still don't know if this will kill open source though and that may be the argument against gov regulation.

"we can do better"-every leftist ever. Yet again its a low brow criticism against the dirty reality, versus their ideological fantasy world. How many times do you have to realize that the last 20 years of the US was a socialist attempt? It literally plays out as a group of specialised individuals that work with the government take all or most of the money and resources, ie banks, stock market, walmart, blackrock, GE,…. somehow they think thats conservative, Its a literal commune of corporations, that is not the republic. Sht eating leftist have turned liberty into a dirty word and i hate them for it

    September 15, 2026 at 9:19 am

If Trump had simply placed his 2015 fortune of $4.5 billion into a passive index fund tracking the S&P 500 instead of entering politics, his wealth would have more than doubled purely from market growth, likely putting him comfortably past $10 billion today instead of $6.5 billion today. Can you imagine how much hard work it is for someone in their 80's to be president?

    September 15, 2026 at 9:19 am

We don't know how to make controllable superintelligent AI. So the idea that we have to do it before China does makes no sense. We don't know how to do it, and we have no idea how to figure out how to do it. We will just hurry up and make something that kills us all. But at least we'll beat China. If anyone builds it, everyone dies.

If you can imagine even for a second, what each one of those children must have felt, the fear, the confusion when the person you have trusted to care for and protect you. The person who was supposed to love you was strangling you until the breath and life left your tiny little body. You would have no choice but to find her guilty, insane or not.

1:12:13 NO, railroads, cars, electricity, and TVs ARE the antichrist!!
Around 1840 when the telegraph first allowed messages to travel faster than any human could move, early skeptics, philosophers, and even some religious leaders argued that accelerating information beyond physical limits a human could move was "unnatural" or tampering with God's design. Certain Baptist preachers claimed it robbed the air of electricity, causing droughts as divine punishment for human "interference with the Almighty’s lightnings." (Note: by 1900 the peoples' attitude was "it's a telegraph, so what?") A few other instances:

    – Microscope/Telescope (early 17th century): Critics, including some church figures, argued these revealed "secrets of nature" that God intended to keep hidden or challenged biblical literalism (e.g., Galileo's support for heliocentrism seen as contradicting Scripture and promoting heresy).

    – Lightning Rod (mid-18th century): Some Protestant clergy viewed it as blasphemous interference with God's divine will (lightning as judgment or punishment), presuming humans could thwart divine providence.

    – Railroads (early 19th century): Pope Gregory XVI banned them in Papal States as "roads of hell," seeing them (and related tech) as threats to moral order and authority; some U.S. preachers called them unbiblical "devices of Satan" for enabling speeds God hadn't foretold.

    – Vaccines (late 18th–19th centuries): Some religious opponents called smallpox vaccination "against God" for interfering with divine will (disease as judgment) or "playing God" by preventing natural outcomes ordained by Providence.

    – Electricity (late 19th century): Critics labeled electric lights and power as unnatural or demonic tampering with God's creation.

    – Automobiles (early 20th century): Some viewed cars as promoting immorality (speed, independence from community/church), worldly excess, or satanic disruption of traditional God-ordained paces of life.

    – Radio/Television (20th century): Fundamentalist critics called them tools of the devil for broadcasting secular content, enabling "satanic" influences into homes, or competing with preaching and family devotion.

My question to you is have you revolted against the railroads yet? If not, why are you skipping forward to AI when there are other equally egregious abominations that have been around much longer and need to be irradicated?

If they get their way you all eat bugs. The rich buy celebrity burgers from the fake meat factory. Your conventional food is contaminated and nourished with human shit and aborted fetal tissues. It’s profitable. Pig people happened because no one had boundaries and you’re in a relationship with your toaster. You all believe yourselves to be a superior race to the people who got “left behind” but bitch I am on my farm canning pizza sauce, collecting eggs and planning my handmade wardrobe to avoid being poisoned in the trash China dressed you in. Congrats on your win.

You may be right that the risk is overblown and the companies are warning for their own fundraising or regulatory moat. But on the other hand there have been a number of people leaving these companies due to their belief the risk is real. They do not have a financial or greed motive as far as I can tell so I'm more inclined to believe there is something there. Either way if the government was going to make a move I'd hope it was to get some real evidence of the risk, perhaps with some independent or multi party observers given full access to AI companies with non disclosure clauses so they can write up an assessments. Then depending on the outcomes we could decide on a realistic plan.
