With Batman being one of the most popular characters of all time, Hollywood kinda has no choice but to churn out new movies featuring him every few years. And so they have… since the 1980s. The latest is THE Batman, starring Robert Pattison as the Caped Crusader, directed by Matt Reeves.

The Batman definitely raises a few questions. Like what inspired them to cast Robert Pattinson and Colin Farell? Are these going to get even DARKER? Why doesn’t anyone aim for Batman’s mouth? How freakin’ long is this movie? Why was it a shock to find out that the criminal guy was a liar and a bad guy? What was that green juice that saved the entire day at the end? What is that suit even made of?

To answer all these questions and more, step inside the Pitch Meeting that led to The Batman! It’ll be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

This movie was such a mess, and this version of Bruce/Batman is such a dummy. It had some really cool moments like when Batman goes into the Iceberg Lounge and kicks ass, but overall it did not hold together well. But then somehow the Penguin series was peak TV.

In this day and age you would think Batman would have a social media account where he could just ask if anyone knew what the carpet tucker was. Maybe have Robin manage it or something.

The Batman needed 40 minutes trimmed off it and absolutely needed to ditch the whole, incel YouTuber with a handful of followers defeating Batman and flooding Gotham storyline.

I never understood how drowning the poverty stricken citizens in the poor section of Gotham was a way of holding the corrupt politicians that the Riddler wanted to take down accountable.
I never understood how all the fanboys could gush over this movie. A bulletproof batman who survives a clearly fatal crash during that flight suit scene? Incompetent cops who don't bother to unmask the unconscious vigilante? La Rata Alada was just plain stupid – nearly as bad as "Martha!"
The Penguin was the only good part of it.

I like how they teased the stupidest Joker yet.

Joker: The less of them you have, the more one is worth.

Riddler: Um…anything. Because that's how scarcity affects value. Did you never study economics?

Gotta say, having not seen it myself because I can’t seem to get myself into Batman stuff that isn’t Kevin…..this Pitch Meeting has reeeeaaaaallly got me questioning how anyone, let alone seemingly everyone, could have been calling this some of the best on-screen Batman content ever.

Henry started by saying Chelsea dominated Liverpool, saying that was what made him happy about this game, because United dominated City, only to end up agreeing that if you no score goal, all your playing is useless, confirming that the Liverpool he bashed earlier did the right thing.

Some great visuals, Penguin was interesting (for the only time ever in Batman history), and.. That's about it. The rest was "meh" or baffling. It's still better than BvS, but I'm not sure it's better than Batman Forever, and that's not a high bar to clear.
