The word ketchup likely comes from the Chinese Hokkien word kê-tsiap, which meant a fermented fish sauce. This sauce was common in parts of China and Malaysia hundreds of years ago.

I made one of Henry's recipes to take over to my husband's parent's house and my mother in law liked to of slapped me right across the face.

I couldn't help but notice how there was no mention of how that hot dog tasted.
