I totally disagree with number 4 because in my town people love blasting their music. It’s always spanish rap, american rap and oldies. They’re usually in their garage or cruising around when they do this, so I fight their music with our music.
You want to subject me to spanish mumble rap? Prepare yourself for a song about being dragged by a truck!!!

The worst are the twinkcore fans who say "I like metal" but they're talking about fuckin Bullet For A Valentine and Devils Wear Prada and Lorna Shore and other shit that isn't metal. Thank fuck I don't go to bars anymore, there's always some drunk seashell necklace, pink polo wearing douche who thinks we're best friends, "oh wow I've never heard of the band on your shirt" (and it's always some massive fuckin huge band like Razor or Hellripper or Destroyer 666 or something) "but I love metal too bro, like Korn, Deaf Tones, Slipknot, Lincoln Park" fuckin shoot me

One other type of fan that I experience a lot are those guys who only listen to metal and nothing else and if you express interest or buy the records and CDs of other non-metal bands they say it sucks or your soft, etc…. Sometimes they even call you a poser. I love metal and always will, but only listening to metal and nothing else seems like it would make it sterile after a while.

I get annoyed by Metallica haters. If you don't like their post-Justice, then fine. But literally every comment section related to them, be it on social media or under a YouTube video devolves into "they suck after Justice", "The Black Album, Load & ReLoad ruined our childhoods", "Lars sucks!!!", and (insert random metal band with less success) deserves their career. Ugh.
I'll say they did the opposite of "selling out" by making the albums THEY wanted to make, not what was expected of them. They also expanded their talents by doing different things like Garage Inc., the S&M albums, and Lulu (yeah, I know I won't defend it as a great album, but it's at least unique and it takes guts to put out something like that). That's part of the reason they're the biggest metal band in the world: they're not afraid to take chances and go against what's expected.

Well i'm a female metalhead, but I also like other genres of music like disco, new wave, grunge, etc. My taste in music is a mix of what my parents enjoy listening to including my own favorites. I just love music in general. ❤
