Growing up in the Seattle area it seemed like 764-HERO opened every other show I went to. I cannot express how incredibly boring they were live. Hearing anyone talk about them 25+ years later positively is perplexing.

I absolutely love the Nirvana Unplugged album. My nephew gave it to me for Christmas several years ago. You're so right about the nostalgia hitting hard. When Kurt died I wasn't sad, but decades later when I watch my Unplugged DVD or listen to the album I physically feel it in my belly. The nostalgia, the sadness etc.

thanks for sharing. How do you track your total spins? I'll have to check out Blonde Redhead. Totally agree with DIIV [although that's my least favorite cover of the year] and Jack White too. i liked the Fontaines DC release the more I listened to it. If I had to rank a top 10, here is mine:
1 toe • Now I See The Light
2 Duster – In Dreams
3 DIIV -Frog In Boiling Water
4 Jack White – No Name
5 The Cure • Songs Of A Lost World
6 Godspeed You! Black Emperor – NO TITLE AS OF 13 FEBRUARY 2024 28,340 DEAD
7 The Smile – Wall of Eyes/Cutouts
8 Pete Yorn – The Hard Way
9 Oh Hiroshima – All Things Shining
10 Vampire Weekend – Only God Was Above Us.
