We live for the moments when music isn’t polished within an inch of its life. When the grain shows. When the wind cuts across distant ridgelines and the strings carry the weight of the hands that played them. Steph Green’s debut field recording with Western AF is one of those moments.
I won’t pretend I can articulate the full magic of Steph’s music. Words fall short. You don’t describe this kind of music. You let it rearrange something inside you.
Still, here’s my best crack at it. Her writing doesn’t just paint pictures. It becomes a landscape.
