still one of your best pitch meetings to this day. just so to the point about all the parts they did not consider in the movie, like the lack of caring of family deaths etc. is not something i never thought of when i first ever watched star wars. kinda wish this remaster had a slight adjustmen to the "who shot first joke" and "remastered ghost walkie talkies" just as a nod to the lucas edits

Who shot first ? Screw the remakes, go watch the original version. Han shot. Full stop.

Lucas wanted to change it to make him seem a little less villainous iirc, one of many mistakes made with the remasters.

Pitch Meeting should do a Masters of the Universe episode where Screenwriter Guy wears a muscle suit. The jokes practically write themselves, and it would be tight!

I feel like Darth Vader's breathing difficulty serves a number of purposes:
-It reminds us that under the intimidating armor, he is still only human. He still needs air to live.
-It offers a potential hook to how he ended up as such a cruel, cold space wizard. Was he so horribly disfigured and forced to endure such pain that it changed him, stripped him of empathy? Squandered, of course, in the prequels. Nope! He turned evil because an old guy asked him to. And also sand.

That is not a plothole if you know about space stuff. Heat management is something really hard at space, since there is no place for the heat to go. They need to expel matter to cool down the ship, so an exhauster is a must, why does it can blow the entire thing, possibly because they design the thing to be near the reactor. Not a very good design for a ship the size of a moon, sure, but what were the of the plans revealing its location could leak?

Obi-Wan said stormtroopers were precise, not accurate. They were trying to bomb the cantina or something but kept hitting that house instead, just over and over. Incredible precision despite incompetent targeting.

I wish you would have pointed out the fact that Ben could not sense the storm troopers killing Luke's uncle and aunt and how precise they were at getting killed

I like the explanation that the stormtroopers intentionally aim badly to let the group escape and lead the imperial forces to the secret rebel base.
Even though it does not make a lot of sense.

So this is basically a sci-fi movie for the whole family… and Lukes fosterparents are just… murdered and then burned… 😳
Movies from the 70s and 80s did not give any F's…
