Spider-Man: Brand New Day Pitch Meeting
Tom Holland is back in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, a sequel that strangely completely ignores the events of Madame Web.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day does raise some questions. Like are we just going to gloss over the awful stuff Jean Grey did? Why is Spider-Man so trusting? Why is there so much less CGI?!?
Maybe the answers lie inside the pitch meeting that led to Spider-Man: Brand New Day. So step inside! It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.

“It’s gonna smash cut to an article about how successful this movie was” – cuts to my article – the way I couldn't stop laughing LOL.

She killed like 5 people in a 2-3 day period. She's essentially a notorious serial killer

6:21 you gotta sit through literally all the credits for that ten second scene though, you could sense the poor cinema staff getting more and more impatient as we all stubbornly sat through them all for the Marvel Post-Credits Scene and it was NOT worth it lmao

How the Hell did you not comment on how he seems to have unlimited funds in the movie? How is he buying spare rooms in new york, and a computer hub?

Every new "supposed-to-be-a-hit"-movie nowadays breaks every record while the cinemas are emptier than ever.
Does anyone believe that shit?!
Isn't it just marketing-blah-blah to tell people "oh! you have to see it – everybody else did" — but nobody did!

It makes perfect sense that someone reported him while he was in space. (if the Beyonder takes enough civilians along again…)

It's crazy how the movie puts more weigth on Peter accidentally injuring that cop than Jean Grey straight up killing that old man. The MCU still tends to slip back into the "it's horrible when a man does it, it's okay when a woman does it" mindset.

You're very good at this

Take out the old man jumping in front of a car…then add a scene where Jean miscalculates the danger she puts someone in and jumps into another person to save them. This could confuse Peter about the nature of the villain and make the whole movie make more sense, really. Maybe a minute and a half of edit.

Ya great movie but how do you redeem a character that was out there nonchalantly offing innocents by taking over their bodies

5:13 actually before she didn't know her sister was dead. Before she was thought her sister was still alive and was trying to find her. Only when she finds out her sister died, she loses it completely. And Peter and aunty May in his comfort her

By the end of the video the hair didn't bother me anymore. Then the slide show introduction. Then the slide show. Now it looks weird again.

There’s also the bit where, even though there is a big reveal that people have no memory of Jean accessing their mind, he then interacts with her when she’s in his mind and remembers having done so.

Overall I really liked it but it is really funny that the seemingly universal reaction to “You’re not a killer” is “Yeah but she is tho”.

UR BACK!!! But where is "Barley an inconvenience"?
@nickjeffery536
August 9, 2026 at 4:03 pm
Actually, the guy that steps in front of the car IS seen alive and well later in the movie (albeit briefly), so Jean Grey didn't actually kill anyone.
The more likely death was from the helicopter pilot where Spiderman left the helicopter webbed up – as and when the web degrades, if nobody finds a way to extract the pilot, he would most likely have plummeted to his death…

Also, the fact he was sequencing dna and had a 3d printer that was making high tech was something worth of noting. Where did he get the money? I guess he checked that aunt May’s insurance. Move was good, but there were a lot of dumb scenes. Anyway, beats majority of mcu movies since 2019.
