Some freak ass worms
If you’re not familiar with worms, you probably thing of them as just worms. But boy are you NOT correct. Worms are everywhere. They’re some of the smallest and largest animals in the planet. They live in every habitat imaginable, from deep sea hydrothermal vents to insides of animals as parasites, including us. With that many worms, there are bound to be some that are complete and total freaks. And that is what brings us here today. Here’s another batch of some freak ass worms.
A huge thanks to Gian for the fantastic editing!

I was at the royal ontario museum recently and noticed that they knew a lot of Cambrian creatures were deuterostomes. How did they figure that out????

Actually, worms evolved once from a common worm ancestor, and then some lineages of worms became unwormmy such as vertebrates and arthropods and echinoderms

HI I HAVE A QUESTION AND I DIDNT KNOW WHERE TO PUT IT SO IM PUTTING IT HERE!!! I've been binge watching you videoes recently and it's reignited my interest in learning after years of stagnating. Thank you so much! The world is so cool and interesting
Anyway, the question: what do you know about UK spiders that can change colour in a short span of time (ie 3-6 seconds)? I know there are spiders such as crab spiders that change colour to match their enviroment over the course of a few days, but I have never found a description of an animal that perfectly matches what I encountered. (PS. both of these encounters happened in the south of the United Kingdom)
I have only encountered these animals twice. One of my memories is less reliable as I was quite small, around 6 or 7. While carrying gym equipment out of the school shed, I saw that the equipment was covered in medium sized spiders of a somewhat more stocky build (somewhere between the range of a labyrinth spider and a jumping spider) and a vibrant green colour. I screamed and dropped the equipment, but by the time the adults arrived, they had all fled.
The second encounter occured when I was 16. I was sitting by an open window, when I saw a brown or black spider with a build the same as I described crawling along the window frame. It was moving slowly, so I decided to be brave and gently nudge it with my finger. It assumed a defensive crouch, and it's colour rapidly shifted from brown to a vibrant green in the course of around 3-6 seconds. I went to get my mum, as I was still trying to prove these green fucks existed since that first encounter because no one had believed me, but when we got back it had gone.
Please help! Am I going crazy? Have I misidentified them as spiders when they're actually some other creature, and that's why I can't find them on any online identification sources? Tell me what this creature is!!!
