Man, I wish I had the health and energy levels to have his work ethic. Notice how he takes his health and energy completely for granted. He would not be able to do any of his work if he did not have the health for it. All healthy people take their health for granted. All success assumes health.

Also notice his attitude towards psychedelics. He is too busy to do psychedelics. How myopic and delusional. That's how Maya works. Too busy to realize God. Maya will absolutely use your success against you. Hard for a successful man to find God because he's got "important" shit to do, like make 5 more films about Richard pooping.

"I'll try anything at least once, except incest and folk dancing." – Christopher Hitchens. So, I'd say that if he hadn't tried psychedelics, I'm sure he would have had no problem trying.

Its a tragedy that phenomenal minds like that of Dawkins and Alex himself do not investigate meditation at the fundamental level ,it would be amazing to hear their thoughts and experiences of the no self state of consciousness where all boundaries of existence, self, space and time vanquish into the primordial infinite abyss of love…and importantly how to integrate those deeper factions of the mind with the everyday relational state of affairs.

Really Sam? You can construct a wood framed house without using a hammer? Interesting. Anyway, smoke a strong strain and surrender to Bach with good headphones. It just may shatter your epistemological and ontological frameworks, Sam.😂

MDMA never worked really well for me. Wether I had no effects for taking not enough for me while all others at the same dosage had been satisfied or I felt very little of the effects every one is talking about but noticeable side effects as stomach, headache getting nervous… – feels like bad speed (tried only ones – don't know if I like it but know that it has serious dangers).
Empathy, love etc. are much stronger on psilos or acid for me and I feel much less side effects if I feel any. Everyone reacts a bit different on substances.

I disagree with the assertion that you can’t live in the light that MDMA gives you. It is clear that we can never move forwards as a species until we break the barriers that exist between us. MDMA helps us see through these barriers and place love before everything else. Personally, I would prefer to live in a world full of love.

I’m a theist but I’ve grown to love these 2 guys. I’ve found so much common ground with them. And I absolutely love how they TRULY are open minded, and humble enough that you know they are not just living in and producing echo chambers of conformation bias. Love that.

If getting high (naturally by self suggestion techniques or otherwise) makes you a better person afterwards, by all means… But this is not something I have observed.

On the contrary, people who get addicted to getting high, tend to enter a mental bubble – they often get harder to relate to (less genuine and less present), and seem to get more – not less – dysregulated over time. At least that's my experience.

Meditation is not about getting high, it's about being more present with whatever happens right now, good or bad, and of loosening the grip of the ego.

I dont see how a drug induced experience hints at the experience being available without drugs.

Yes the biology of the brain allows it but it means as much that you can achieve this through meditation as Arnold Schwarzenegger's picture means you can just do a few pushups and look like him.

    Not saying its not possible.
