You asked, who asked, but instead of asking, who asked, why don't just go choose any one of the many other phones they have under S line up? Just a thought, you know😅

All these phone manufacturers need to understand regarding phone thickness is that we are at diminishing return if you further slim down a phone. It's at right balance between the weight and usability of phone. If you got nothing to innovate further on phone then get on five year incremental release cycle and bring your phone with easily replaceable battery. It will fucking save the environment and also help sheeps not get into perpetual debt cycle of buying phones. Also, folks will be putting a thick screen protector anyway, so what's the point of shaving off few mm thickness from the phone at the compromise of battery capacity.

I don’t care about thin phones I only slightly care about how thick laptops and tablets are I actually prefer a slightly thicker phone so I can actually hold it better

They released it just to know how the people react to it, to become familiarize to that device. So for the following year they will release a thinner phone. Its like selling a prototype that is available to the market which is usable. I noticed that when they releasing an A series, what they did theyre is creating a new design and when the time got people familiar to it, thats the time they implement the design to S series that they put on A ssries.

They were thinking about the future. The battery and cameras are fine. It's just not for power users abd that is fine. You can get it for about $650.00 now.

These small phones won't work for a power user. The heat dispersion is not going to be optimal. The more material you have the better the heat is despersed…does it even have a vapor chamber?

At least the Edge is now down to <700€, a lot more reasonable. Let's see with all the negative reviews how long it'd take Apple to match that with the Air. Frankly, both belong in roughly that price range. Air started from 1600€ or whatever (for the 512gb) and is already down to 1270€, likely due to lack of interest for obvious reasons. Both Samsung and Apple got a little too ambitious with the pricing for…essentially less. Unfortunate as the Air could've been a banger – successor to 16E – slightly better, more stylish/nicer looking overall, light and thin. But nah, they had to overprice it for no reason.

Idk why this phone has all its hate…. I bought the s25 Edge and really I get 2d worth of battery out of it… and this is the first modern phone that actually feels like a flagship…. the ultra is simply supid compared to the edge

You just sold me on the Ultra, from the thicker case on the small form factor essentially killing the thin design, the battery after the honeymoon phase, the camera! After testing the 2 cameras in hand today, the Ultra camera is god-like! In the US I can choose to get the Ultra for $20 (256gb), or $25 (512gb) extra a month for 2yrs and own it, or the Edge for $0 a month for 2yrs and own it..I think the extra cost monthly will bring way better trade in value in 2yrs with the Ultra whilst the "Thin" market may be booming, but the space and tech will still rule. Wish I could get the 1TB Ultra, but I'll be happy with the 512GB Ultra! Oh, and I've never used the SPen and not sure how much I will, but I'm excited to poke around with it a bit. Cheers!
