Sometimes, I just need to escape in some humor. I've been re-watching Rez Dogs. It's just a series you can watch over and over and it gives to much each time. Then I remembered watching you gentlemen and how you also brought more clarity, emotions, and even humor to a series that already brings those things as well. Your re-caps are as timeless as the show. Hope you all are doing well.

I really appreciate your view and amazing research that went into this show, ive watched it twice and still your content was sooo informative and well spoken as well as y'all's personal opinions. I know you guys have watched the first two seasons but have you made similar content about the seasons on your individual channels?

One missed detail you guys forgot to point out is the colour contrasts of opening shots of Season 1 versus the Season 3 finale. The pilot had a more desaturated and somber color tone, probably foreshadowing how the death of Daniel still haunts the Rez Dogs and that they'll still need to work through not only the pain, but themselves and the community before being whole. The opening shots of the season finally is a lot more greener, lively and fresher, despite the whole community is preparing for Old Man Fixico's funeral. But its not a somber event, but more of a celebration of his life and how his memories and teachings have been imparted to everyone and he will still live on in their hearts.

The funeral reminded me a lot of how funerals in many others non-Western/European funerals are more lively and celebratory than sad events. I'm from South Africa, in most of our diverse cultures, death is something that unites families and communities from far and wide together, especially if the person was elderly and well known in the community. Fixico's funeral reminded me a lot of my grandmother's funeral and how so many people from different communities, including other neighbouring countries came to support my family. I stay in the suburbs in a different province/state, compared to where most of my relatives stay in a rural small town, so funerals are one of the few moments I got to see my extended family. I didn't get to spend a lot of time with my grandmother compared to my cousins who were raised by her, but I'm grateful for the little moments that I did, and she will forever live on in my memories 💓.

Mvto, Sterlin Harjo for creating this show🙏🏽

I'm an older white woman. I loved this show so much. It begins making me wonder why I'm being shown a story about a group of hoodlums. (I live in Montana and am a mental health counselor; I've had a few Native clients; just enough to know there's a lot I don't know but to give me a lot of respect.) This show ends with me realizing it's telling me about community through generations. And that there's something about Native culture that still has that even with the history of trauma. As a White woman I realize I don't have the same foundation. In the dominant culture we work to form communities; we're not born into one that we belong to. Even families are often fragmented. Anyway I'm glad the Native community is finding ways to get their art, their stories out there. I can't wait for the next project. Whatever it may be.

I’m so happy I found your channel. I’m a 60yo white guy, who fell hard for Reservation Dogs. Possibly my favorite show of the last decade. Thank you so much for your perspective. I thought I learned a lot from the show, but watching you all explain perspective is the best. I would love to see you cover Marvel’s Echo next. Thanks.

one thing that stood out to me was when Big brings the book to leave with Fixico, and Willie Jack’s Dad going to pick it back up to read. It reminded me of Oki’s teaching from the beginning of the episode. Even in death Fixico is still teaching the others in the community and what he has spread through the community is and will always be there; the community “passing the chips around”.

Also: at the top of the box Elora carries out to the truck are the blue willow dishes. Her grandmother’s spirit told her not to sell the blue willow dishes or she’d haunt her.

“Reservation Dogs” impacted me on so many levels-I LOVE this show. I’m 49 & for the 1st time in my adult life, I did not celebrate “Thanksgiving!” This show actually made me change my belief system. Small steps…❤

Thank you so much for you work. I loved the series, but your analysis videos added so much to the experience for me that I'm going to re-watch with your thoughts in mind.

I think Reservation Dogs was perfect from beginning to end. The only thing I wish I had seen was when Cheese was playing video games, I wish he would be playing Doom (1993), Quake, or Wolfenstein 3D, as a nod to one of those games' key developers John Romero who is Yaqui and Cherokee. Considering that the video game industry would look radically different without Natives (or at least one), it just seemed weird not to include any nods to Mr. Romero.
