Frank has extensive experience in leadership roles serving Indian Country, from his time as the Tribal Chairman of the LTBB of Odawa Indians to working on several non-profit Boards. Deeply committed to the success of Native communities across Turtle Island and matters involving cultural sovereignty, climate change, federal acknowledgment and repatriation, Frank has spent 40 years in public service! His work includes serving on the Executive Board of the National Congress of American Indians, the Midwest Alliance of Sovereign Tribes, the Historical Society of Michigan, the Chippewa Ottawa Resource Authority, the Michigan Climate Action Council, the Little Traverse Conservancy, the Michigan Travel Commission, the Public Interest Advisory Group for the International Joint Commission’s Upper Great Lakes Study, the Michigan Great Lakes Offshore Wind Council, and the Michigan Ground Water Conservation Advisory Council.
Frank stays #CLOSETOCULTURE through his practice of traditional storytelling and his work as a potter. Frank believes that Native people can best prepare for the future by rooting themselves in traditional culture.
