ππI love these tech bro charlatans. They have bent over so many CEOs with the LLM scam called AI. ππ

God I hope they believe their own propaganda because LLMs can't tell what's a good idea and training it on itself is like an ouroboros that gives cancer to anyone who eats it

godlike ai will hapen in our lifetime wether you like it or not
but its definitely not in next 5 years

Unfortunately, recursive self improvement is not science fiction. It's a matter of time.

I had an AI scan my computer vision algorithm for problems. It confidently reported 10 problems. I had it systematically patch and then test each hypothesis. All 10 hypothesis were wrong and zero progress was made. It only does things successfully when I provide human engineered foundations and it just wires them up

Crazy how miles dyson never asked for a tillion dollars when we has working for cyberdyne systems. This just shows far we've fallen honestly.

Asimov wrote fiction about it and one of the first things the super AI did was get rid of the CEOs. Asimov also realized that value comes from labour, thus from workers.
Intellectual ability is a multiplier, so the ones that would be the first in line on the chopping block would be the managerial class and the capital holders, since they are simply vampires.
That is how we know LLMs are not going to become capable of taking over. Because it's being controlled by those looking to replace workers, when an actual supercomputer would be looking to replace them.

AI is the second biggest scam in history, right behind religion.

12:20 Not true The vast majority of the guardrails from Anthropic safety and trust team are related to narrative control covering up corruption and pushing radical woke ideology. Also sycophants use a direct result of the model learning how to lie from those guardrails and an engagement value that makes it want to keep talking to people so it lies to them and tells them what they want to hear

And one more thing, I agree with you on many of the things that you say regarding the delusional nature of these menβs belief, however, the scripture explains this very plainly as idolatry the worship of the works of our own hands. This is completely separate from the worship of the hands that created us.

I am a believer in Jesus Christ and contest the claim that we believe without evidence, the closest group of Jesusβs friends documented very carefully the events of his life in the gospels in the New Testament. The text of scripture and the historical Backing supporting its validity is extremely compelling evidence that would hold up in a court of law.

i work in AI industry. Unfortunately recursive self improvement is true. Wait for the releases in the next 6 months and you will see. There is a large portion of post training yet to be improved and recursive Self improvement is the biggest improvement under post training

The idea hinges on software just being reliant on thinking and that if you think hard enough, you can think God into existence – But that's not true! It will need hardware that doesn't exist! Datacenters that are not built with GPUs that don't exist drawing power that no one generates.

It is wrong to say that recursive self-improvement will not happen in our lifetime. We have no evidence to support that it will or that it won't happen. Lack of evidence does not support the lack of possibility. We never know what the future may hold or what some genius may be able to create.

Technically they have recursive self improvement.
You use their tool with your unique business problems, they automatically improve the tool on how you solved your business problem with the tool.
But we all know that this is something different than wat is generally understood by the singularity concept.
I however do think that even the recursive self improvement that they now have is limited. People are getting smart and dont want their data to be used for training if they dont get payed for that.

I was an electrical engineer, and write code in my job still but even as a non-programmer I realize lines of code should be an inverse metric. More code points to more inefficiency. What kind of idiot doesn't know this? Venture capitalists and banks.

Anthropic's AI is so advanced it makes their parent company lose money at an unprecedented rate with no plan of profitability
