Something about that entire trash bag tale does not ring true with me. I have been in jail before. Both city and county. "None" of them wasted money on trash bags for the trash cans in the cells. They wont even give you sheets so does anyone believe they are concerned with your trash.

Sandra Bland had a right to cuss this cop out. Many people are saying that Sandra Bland should not have argued with the cop, but police do overstep their boundaries, and it is hard to hold back your opinions against a cop.

It's funny how out of necessity we have to revere the police like gods among men. It's like there are the laws, and then there are the rules. The law says nothing about having to be tacit and doting to the police, but it's their attitude against ours. It's hard for either person to communicate easily with one another when the difference in power is so obvious.

Oh. This is common in my country. Which is why many of us record ourselves when we're driving and arguing with the cops. When they see the video recorder, they stop. They know they're going to get viral.

Would really like to hear your opinion on the John Kristoffer Larsgard case in Arizona a few years back. A Norwegian bioengineer-student was driving with his mother across the country and took a wrong turn down a one way street. People started yelling at him, surrounding the car and he panicked and tried to drive away, but then almost hit someone and was punched in the face. Long story short: He was convicted to 7.5 years in prison and is this year asking for the death penalty because the prison isn't giving him the medication he needs, and he's in a lot of pain.
Crazy story. What is up with the justice system? So if you have time and/or want to it would be nice to start a discussion on the topic. Do you think foreign people are convicted more harshly than americans? If yes, why?

Hehehe "You seem irritated." You have a way of succinctly deadpanning heavy truths. This is anything but a joke, but getting your viewers to chuckle makes your ideas stick. It's a real skill. Thanks for this upload – have been out of town as this case has gotten attention. Learned a lot here.

i actually got pulled over this morning for "running a redlight"

what actually happened is that i was turning right at this particular light, so i turned on my blinker and just turned when i came to the light.

the cop i didnt realize was behind me pulled me over and informed me that i was suppose to come to a complete stop and THEN turn right. which is completely ludicrous. never heard that in my life.

he walked up to the car, asked for my license, registration, and proof of insurance. i handed him my license and registration. i couldnt find proof of insurance right off the bat, so the cop says "you just keep looking, and i'll go run your license." i say ok and continue looking for my insurance card.

he comes back, i hand him the insurance card, he looks at it. doesnt even bother to check to see if the policy is actually valid. he hands the card back and asks if the address on my license is still current. i told him it isnt. he then asks where i live now. i told him.

and then he asks "so where are you boys headed?" (its worth noting that it was 5:30 in the morning and there were 3 20-something guys in the car.)

i told him that these two were friends of mine that had spent the night at my house and i was bringing them home.

he then asked "where to do you live?"

the friend in the front seat points to the building down the street and says "i live right there." (which was true.)

he then asks the friend in the back seat and he says "over on martin street."

and rather than simply letting us go he asks "so what are you doing out this early?"

at this point im just annoyed. i tell him AGAIN that im bringing my friends home.

he then decides to, once again, inform me that i am suppose to come to a complete stop before turning. and hands my license back and walks back to his car and drives off.

i knew from the second he asked if my address is still current that he was fishing for a reason to give me a ticket and possibly even arrest me. you see, this isnt the first time this particular state trooper has pulled me over. he pulled me over on the interstate about a month or two ago because i was swerving all over the road. i told him that it had been a long day (it was 2 AM) and i was just sleepy. (which was true. i wasnt intoxicated in any way.)

i knew he recognized my rather distinctive looking 1978 buick. when you drive a car that sticks out, this is one of the curses. he likely thought i was drunk or something, just like he likely thought i was the first time he stopped me. he decided to do anything he could to try to find a reason to ticket or arrest me.

this is why i hate cops. i swear they do almost as much harm as they do good.

Thank you for a reasonable and thoughtful look at this. It's a very unfortunate situation, and I definitely believe the officer was in the wrong.

I may not agree with everything you say all the time, but, from the few videos I've watched so far, you seem fairly reasonable and logic-oriented.  I appreciate that you try not to rely too heavily on uncertain assumptions in such an emotionally-charged issue.  Personally, I could see this case go either way.  You're right–we don't know her state of mind at the time of the arrest.  People are often good at hiding depression/anxiety. We can't know if the arrest was all that was needed to push her "over the edge."

However, at the same time, there are (unfortunately) corrupt cops on the police force.  Not to say that all cops are bad, but a few have character defects that make them really bad cops.  I say this having witnessed police try to arrest a white man WITHOUT charges, reading any rights, etc.  The arrest only stopped when a bystander (the man's wife) asked what the charges were and the police realized they had nothing.  Since quite a crowd (and the media) had gathered, they left in humiliation. You're right about another thing–sometimes, bad cops get away without being punished.  Since (from what I recall) the police had twisted the man's arm behind his back as they forced him to leave the building, the man tried to sue the police over the incident, but a judge refused to allow it, claiming the man could not sue the state police. So much for justice from the government.

RESISTING ARREST, AND ARGUING WITH A POLICE OFFICER WHO HAS GIVEN YOU A CLEAR DIRECTIVE TO STEP OUT OF YOUR VEHICLE, WILL MANY TIMES GET YOU AN ASS-WHOOPIN. THEN YOU GET TO WEAR TWO NEW SHINY BRACELETS, HAVE YOUR CAR TOWED AND IMPOUNDED, AND YOU EVEN GET NEW LIVING QUARTERS DOWNTOWN WHICH AREN'T VERY UPSCALE. ALONG WITH THREE SQUARE MEALS OF CAT FOOD DAILY. YOU EVEN GET A NEW ORANGE OUTFIT TO WEAR EVERYDAY. THEN……….(IF) YOU HAVE SOME PERSONAL ISSUES, YOU MIGHT EVEN GET DEPRESSED. AND IF YOU HAVE SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, YOU MIGHT HANG YOURSELF WITH A TRASH BAG INSIDE YOUR JAIL CELL.  SHE PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE STOPPED RUNNING HER MOUTH AND COOPERATED WITH ((((( LAW ENFORCEMENT ))))) AND SHE MIGHT STILL BE ALIVE TODAY.

THE ARREST VIDEO SHOWS BLAND MAKING A (RIGHT TURN EARLIER) OUT OF THE BUSINESS COMPLEX WITHOUT USING HER TURN SIGNAL. THAT WAS THE CRIME. THAT IS WHY THE OFFICER MADE THE U-TURN TO FOLLOW HER. THE LANE CHANGE TO HER RIGHT LATER WAS (NOT) THE CRIME. GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT.

Cleaning crews sometimes store extra garbage bags under the existing one. Makes for easier cleaning to have a supply at the site. This could be the case in the jail pic.

very insightful, you take a lot into account and that's how these situations should be handled. even with all the facts this, like you say, is an example of an officer escalating a situation to the point where the victim is irritated and struggles. I've never had a bad experience with police but I do know they have a quota they need to reach every month, making small issues have big consequences. If you've heard of the Fairfield Aquatic Centre about a month ago after what seemed be collective confusion a 12 year old had her jaw and ribs broken by an officer, your opinion would be interesting.

That was interesting to watch. I'm imagining myself being pulled over, and yeah, I'm on edge, because the situation starts with me being in the wrong, and the authority figure coming to lay down the law^^

I have seen news articles about the ACLU making an app that will record your encounter with police and save it to the cloud. I haven't used the app because Windows phone doesn't get the newest apps for a while, but just wanted to put that info out there for anyone who gets profiled by police.

Thanks for putting this out there. The problems have been there for decades, but we see them now because of the internet. We do need action and redress, and it can totally happen. We're never going to get rid of every cop that stops someone when he's in a shitty mood and wants to wave his dick around so he can feel powerful.  But this right here should never, ever happen, and we can totally stop it.

From a point of view of someone who doesnt live in America, it seems hopeless. Race isnt even a real thing and its the biggest issue there.
Im so fucking sad hearing about this woman, and every other person being murdered for no damn reason because of the police.

  18. @Ceallai

    January 8, 2026 at 4:01 am

Outside of the racist aspect (which is fucking outrageous), this also goes to prove how shitty the police are at dealing with people who suffer from mental illness. I bet nobody even asked or looked into it.

    January 8, 2026 at 4:01 am

Fun fact: when a cop trails you for a long time and pulls you over miles down the road he/she was checking your criminal history to see how much of a criminal you are ie. tickets, jail time, even warnings show up.  If you have a history of getting tickets, they're more likely to pull you over and give you another one, even if its for a minor offense

The way that traffic stop went down was absolutely unforgivable. It escalated because a dickhead cop couldn't tolerate someone–specifically a woman of color, let's be real–not kissing his boots while he treated them however he liked. The police are supposed to be public servants, not gods. There's no excuse for what he did, and there's no excuse for her death. The idea that she killed herself is questionable, but even if it's true, they ignored standard protocol when housing someone who is at risk of suicide, which they claimed to know she was. None of it should have happened. It's bullshit. Complete fucking bullfuckingshit.

  21. @Jesses001

    January 8, 2026 at 4:01 am

I saw the video of that traffic stop. Police officer was clearly trying to escalate the situation. The moment she said no to putting out her cigarette, he became aggressive. She hesitated and that was all the excuse he needed to become violent. He is your classic authoritarian nazi cop. Obey or suffer. We really need to get rid of them.

Though I find her death highly suspicious, it is possible she committed suicide. I mean she just got a new job and she was not going to make bail. That means she can kiss that new job goodbye. That asshole cop basically took what she did to put her life back together and destroyed it. She would have to start over again. That is rather depressing.

  22. @negativelypostive

    January 8, 2026 at 4:01 am

Thank you for this video, and especially for the bit around 1:40. It's really bothered me that much of the conversation regarding Bland's alleged suicide is that it couldn't have happened "because she seemed happy and had so much to live for!" Depression doesn't work like that. Things can seemingly be going perfect in your life, you can try to put up a mask, and yet you can still be depressed inside. It's bothered me that people have dismissed the possibility of a suicide solely on the fact that "it doesn't seem like she should be sad."
I personally find the entire situation to be fishy, and I'm waiting for more information. But the assertion that there must have been foul play because Bland's life was too good for her to resort to suicide, is a gross misunderstanding of depression.

  23. @blablablahs

    January 8, 2026 at 4:01 am

Everything about that case was suspicious as fuck, though.
Why was she in a jumpsuit? Why was she there for three whole days, when she wasn't charged with anything that would even land her jail time?'
And honestly, had that woman been white, he wouldn't have treated her the way he did in the beginning at all. You say random stops have happened to you before, (I assume its happened a few times), and I have a middle eastern friend who says he's never ever been on an airport without being "randomly checked". I've never experienced anything like that in my life. Ever. Once, when I was at an airport the metal detector beeped, and I asked if I should go through it again, but the guy just shrugged and said it was "probably nothing".  The entire system is racist at its core, even if they aren't like openly KKK there is still prejudice deep down. A system that is supposed to provide security and justice for all cannot have racist enforcers.

  24. @MrBuns-yi2hk

    January 8, 2026 at 4:01 am

If she did commit suicide I do think that the police have some responsibility for her death, but that isn't the same as the police killing her. I mean you would think they would have cameras or something to prevent this from happening.

  25. @haircraftbykelly

    January 8, 2026 at 4:01 am

I was just having this discussion with my brother. It is the POLICE OFFICERS responsibility to make sure a simple traffic stop does not escalate into a much more serious situation. Even if she was "giving him an attitude" he should have continued to be methodical and professional with his procedures, not snarky towards her to insight a reaction. In my opinion, police are to protect and serve the citizens, which she was. His actions were out of line and way over the level of what was necessary to keep himself safe in that situation. There are corrupt police in America who believe that they are superior to the normal civilian and above the law. I hope this woman's family receives justice for the crimes committed against her.
