I watched a video of Ray Charles singing Georgia at a concert in (i think) the 60s, and in the outro bit he spoke sang 'Little girls are always on my mind.' And the audience applauded, and that was it. Absolutely normal way to end a song.

Springsteen is a poseur. After stealing the Asbury Park sound from a guy that mentored him, Southside Johnny, he marketed himself as some voice of the working man. He never has seen the inside of a factory, picked up a shovel, or worked on muscle cars, in his life

Bruce was actually referring to the girl's Sugar Daddy… one would know that (too) if ever watching the video and seeing the affluent, young lady in question and how she was not depicted as a some teenager this "comedian" tries to imply.

Sweet Carolina is about a 13 yo girl.

It’s funny how the songs that old white people like are riddled with pedo references..

But the gays are grooming children.

Sounds like old white men do it a lot more.

Where are the laws to protect children from them

Thanks Peter…been waiting a long time to hear someone speak my mind on this one….yup…it is a pedophile hymn…no one wants to hear this…but listens to the song…cuz the melody is so "candy"
….and yes….I'm sorry too for it
